My college experience

IMT Nagpur has a rich alumni base of 4500+ who have achieved great heights in their corporate career. This induces confidence in the upcoming candidates and makes them assured that their career is secured. The faculties of this institute are excellent and are anytime ready for a one on one session to clear doubts if any. IMT Nagpur accepts CAT CMAT XAT scores and if a student scores above 90 percentile in CAT or XAT then he/she would get a hefty percentage of scholarship. After the call, the candidate needs to go through a group discussion or group task followed by a personal interview. After selection, the candidate needs to pay a fee to reserve a seat which is refundable if the candidate wishes to withdraw. The session would begin in Mid June. I preferred IMT Nagpur as it is student-driven, the lush green beautiful campus which is not the case in other private B schools. The sports facilities here are amazing. Summer internships and placements are commendable.

I got selected in PGDM Core as I would get a chance to select my Majors in the second year. The student-faculty ratio is around 15:1. The term exams were conducted on time and the level of difficulty is moderate.

College provides both on and off-campus internship opportunities. Well, renowned companies, as well as start-ups, visit for internships with a decent amount of stipend. The average would be around 15-17k per month.

In the 4th semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. There were many companies that visited like Bain & Co, Crisil Ltd, Wipro, Goldman Sachs, EY, KPMG, Deloitte etc. The highest package offered was 14 lac pa and the average is around 8-9 lacs. Almost all the students get placed every year.

The fee is Rs 1210000 for 2 years which includes everything. The scholarship is there for students scoring more than 90 percentile in CAT and XAT. Financial assistance is available for economically weaker section.

The annual fest name is Melange which is a flagship event of IMT Nagpur where all the alumni revisit the campus for 2 days and reminish their memories. The event includes both formal and informal events. The library infrastructure is superb at IMF Nagpur where the book worms would get all the books of their tastes and preferences. I would say the same for sports facilities and other extra activities. All the groups and clubs are run by students which involve startups in the college itself.

The facilities in the room are decent. Single and double occupancy available. In a room there would be 2 beds, 2 wardrobes and study tables chairs would be available. Meal quality in mess is quite good compared to other colleges. I bet you won't miss your "Ghar ka khana" once you step into our canteen.

Yes, I faced a group task where we were required to chalk out a plan for a particular campaign followed by this, there was a personal interview which lasted for around 20 minutes where I was asked different questions.
