Remarks

One of the biggest reason for choosing this college over others is that it is a Girls College. Also, it is nearby to me so there will be no transportation difficulty. As I am a first-year student, I never visited my college but observed it in different live sessions and videos so I can Confirm that The college infrastructure is far better than any other colleges. The college has an active placement cell too which provides internships as well to the students. Around 60% students get placement and 50-60% students are hired as an intern by various companies like Google, Flipkart and Internshala. Our college jas many societies like dance society, Entrepreneurship cell, Music society, Fashion society and many more. Various fests are also conducted in a year. Different activities by various societies take place. Personally, I would say that I love my college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am pursuing B.Com (H) as it is one of the most popular courses in Delhi University and my college has qualified and well-experienced staff. Teachers are really great and even teaching methods are quite easy and understandable. Even in Online teaching, We do not feel bored while studying. Exams are held every semester and the syllabus is not too much so it can easily be prepared. The curriculum is updated and includes all the recent changes and updates in the course. Honestly, I feel that I am getting my money's worth.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Yes, The college has started offering various internships to the students beginning from the 1st year students only. Various companies like Infotech, Google, Flipkart, Amazon etc hires interns for the role of content writing, Campus Ambassador, Social Media management, Affiliate or digital marketing. But if one wants to try out something new and wants to improve their abilities and skills can try out for internships provided by the Placement Cell.

Placement Experience

3.5

The quality of the placement cell of SPM College is average till now. Around 50-60% of students get placed every year by various companies like google, infotech, Flipkart and many more. It has also started providing various internships to the students for the improvement of their skills. The salary package offered is around 1-2 lacs per annum. The college is too much supportive in all the tasks.

Fees and Financial Aid

Shyama Prasad Mukherji College is a very good college for students who are focused on their studies. I am pursuing B.Com (H) and the Teaching staff is very supportive and knowledgeable. If we talk about placements, College offers placements around 50-60% of students every year and hires interns too. Various companies that visit our college are amazon, Infotech, Internshala etc. The fee for B.com(H) is around 9000-10000 INR per year. Apart from this, we have to pay a little sum of money as semester examination fees. According to my, the fees is affordable and I'm getting my money's worth in this college.

Campus Life

3.5

The College is an amazing and wonderful place to be with the right people. Cultural society is amazing. Students can engage in a variety of events from street plays, dance competitions to fest management. Both Teaching and Non-Teaching staff is supportive. The college has various societies like Dance society, Cultural society, Music society and Entrepreneurship cell too. Being a girl student, I would say, that this is one of the safest college located in a safe location.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
