MNIT - My NIT

College is amongst the top 30 college along to NIRF rankings. The campus and its facilities are excellent. Only thing it is lagging, is the exposure given to students right from the first year for choosing their career paths.

Course Curriculum is well up to date with the current scenario covering all important subjects in every branch. Exams consists of 1Mid semester and 1 end Semester for each of the 8 semesters. Teachers teach well according to the course within the alloted deadline. The marking of the exams is also relative along with grading.

The placements and job opportunities are excellent for all the branches. The best packages are for the Computer Science and Electronics branch going to almost 35 Lakhs while for remaining branches it is above par with highest package of around 15 Lakhs. Internships constitute an integral part of the college as almost every student gets an internship through college which turns into a pre placement offer if performed well during the time frame. Stipends ranging from 5K to 1Lakh are also provided.

Events are the heart of our college with multi socio cultural and sports events happening every semester where there is a minimum footfall of 5000 people. Technical fest is Sphinx, cultural fest is Blitzschlag, sports fest is MST. Other than these many other activities and club fests run through across whole academic year.

Fee structure is at par with all the NIT's across India. It is according to income wise and category wise. For income less than 1 Lakh fees is around 2L for 4 years with numerous opportunities of scholarships. For income between 1 to 5 Lakhs fees is 6 Lakhs for 4 years and for income greater than 5 Lakhs it is 10 Lakhs for 4 years.

Sivananda, SC Bose, OPJEMS, State wise and Minority Scholarships are main ones that can be availed in the college. Loan facility is also provided on the day of admission with numerous private and government banks.

Various sports facilities like badminton court, sports ground, Table tennis room, indoor sports facilities are well provided in the college premises. These can be availed at free of cost and at any time. Gym facility is also there.

The hostel infrastructure is well and good with twin accomodation in first year and single accomodation in rest 3 years. Mess facility is also given along with the hostels. Nearby one can found greenery and market.

It is the best part of MNIT. Alumni always help in getting excellent jobs or internships. They regularly visit the college and offer pre placement talks with interaction to the students. Many alumni are working at their own company or MNC.

I prepared for JEE Mains along with Class XII. The admission process comes under JEE Mains taken care by MHRD. JEE Mains paper takes place in month of April and after result declaration counseling takes place under JOSAA in which student can choose their dream college and branch according to rank.

Facilities are well verse in their fields of expertise. Many of the professors are educated from IIT's and foreign universities. They hold special place in the heart of the college as they contribute well for the placements and knowledge part of the students.
