Awesome college days

I took IIT JEE examination, I secured a Rank of 3767 AIR,I opted for this particular college through JEE counselling.

The course structure was okay. Few topics were outdated and had been taught to us as a legacy. Few professors were pretty good while others not so good. Research wise, there were not much opportunity inside the college. But students, willing for research, opted for foreign research internship.

Yes, companies come for internship. Bright students have good enough chance to do internship in well recognized industries. I got an internship of 40K for two months.

Lots of placement and job opportunity. This is by far the best part of this college. You will have a lots of opportunity to sit for interviews. Take my case, i sat for more than 8 companies, before finally getting my first job. If you have a good enough CGPA, rest assured you will get a secured job.

Lots of events. You name it and our college have that. Technex-Technical festival of our college. Spardha-Sports festival of our college. Kashi Yatra-Cultural festival of our college. Aayam-Curtural and technical festival of our branch.

At our time, it was called IT-BHU and hence the fees were really affordable. With this becoming an IIT. IIT fees rule apply. It is still affordable. for OBC and SC/ST the fees are considerably less, helping them with that. For general, its a bit expensive but who cares, this is one of the best in our country.

Yeah, there are a few scholarship offered by your college. I availed a MERIT CUM MEANS scholarship. There are many more scholarships available.

Campus life is awesome. The college is surrounded by Vishwanath Temple. Assi ghat is also nearby. Gender ratio was really bad. The ratio of boys : girls were around 9:1. Lots of extracurricular. Good lab facility. Overall pretty good. Competitions such as robotics, debates were regularly held in our campus.

Hostel Facilities were good. Two badminton court inside hostel. Timing for entry and exit are flexible. Girls are also allowed inside boys hostel and vice - versa. Mess food was okay.

Good alumni network. And this helps us during our placement season. They are really helpful. Alumni Meet is held regularly inside the campus.

Exam structure was good. Per semester there were 2 Class tests. And one end semester. Most of the exams topics were covered by the professors. good overall experience . Its not at all hectic. We use to read 1 or 2 days before the exams and was yet able to secure high marks.

Few faculty were really good, while others were quite lazy. Many professors didn't even want to take class. Some of them were encouraging in every respect. They were helpful in clearing your doubts. While others were rude enough that we didn't even dare to cross question them.
