Remarks
Delhi School of Economics has been rated as the #1 college in India in terms of ROI, ranked above FMS, Sydenham, IIT, Jamnalal Bajaj and the likes (by India Today B-School rankings). You won't be carrying the burden of an education loan once you graduate with a stellar placement out of this college. DSE (MBA) has a strong alumni base, very strong Infact, those who are place at leadership positions in companies like Facebook, JP Morgan, Boeing & etc, and that really helps, they regularly visit campus more mentoring, workshops and recruitments. People in the jndustry hold a very high regard for this college. Not to forget the DU campus life, the food joints and ofcourse the crowd.
Course Curriculum Overview
Delhi University recruits the best minds as professors so the quality of teaching is definitely going to be great. The curriculum is good and updated. Talking of my experience, Haven't really had a chance to experience classroom learning, all classes are being conducted online, but I'm eagerly looking forward to the learning at DSE
Internships Opportunities
Yes, we need to enroll ourselves to a student body to avail the placement services. They've been getting quite good companies to get the students placed for winter internships, live projects, summer internships and the final Placements.We've had quite a lot of big names coming to recruit from or campus - Godrej, JP Morgan, DelMonte, Anand Group, Philips Lighting, Genpact, ICICI, HPCL to name a few.
Placement Experience
First year students are eligible for Live projects, winter internships and summer internships opportunities coming to the Campus from their day 1 itself. Avg Stipend is around 55,000 for the summer internships, while the highest goes up till 1,80,000 (both figures are for 2 months). Companies such as ICICI, Genpact, JP Morgan, Grocers, HPCL, Philips Lighting, etc recruit summer interns from the campus.Second year students are eligible to apply for the Final Placement opportunities coming to the campus. Avg package is around 11,00,000 while higher level goes up till 25,00,000
College Events
All of us have heard very highly of Delhi University's social life and campus life. However, I never got to live it personally, atleast till now for Im not a DU graduate, although now pursuing my Masters from DU but never got a chance to live the DU life owing to the Covid situation in Delhi. Universities are closed indefinitely till further notice from the authorities.
Fee Structure And Facilities
You'll have to pay 32k for a full fledged MBA degree and you'll graduate with an avg package of around 11lpa. You don't need a scholars have, financial assistance of any sort. Your internship money would more than suffice for the MBA fees, the avg Stipend for internship@DSE is around 55,000. Job opportunities are good, especially fo the top quartile. Highest must be around 25lpa while the avg and median are 10-11lpa.
Hostel Facilities
Limited Hostel Facility offered by Delhi University, only a lucky few would be allotted hostels out of the official DU pool of hostels, you can however avail the private PG services available around the campus. For Delhiites, traveling daily won't be an issue, but yes hostel Life has its own charm
Admission
Group Discussion and Personal Interview does happen every year, shortlisting criteria for which is mainly your CAT score and the profile, but for session 2020-22, Group Discussion and Personal Interviews were scrapped owing to covid. Otherwise I've heard very highly of Delhi School Economics GDPI Round, their efficiency and transparency
