Remarks
The college is one of the top to pursue commerce and economics from in India and Asia. It is well known for its quality education and skill set development for a better career prospect. The admission process is very smooth and well coordinated. Filling of the form, verification of the documents and a final stage verification to confirm the details, it was in accordance to the dates of the University of Delhi in June and July. While the college name itself is self-explanatory, reassuring reviews on internet made it easy to choose the college. The college may provide only 2 courses at undergraduate level but are with the best faculty and resources available.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Commerce as my course so as to pursue the same in my career. It has wide practical application to the corporate sector and is useful in developing the necessary skills. The faculty to student ratio is nearly 20:1. The teachers are very creative in terms of teaching and are continuously updating their techniques to help students learn better. As per the University of Delhi, semester wise examinations and internal assessment are held every six months.
Placement Experience
The placement process is well coordinated by the Placement Cell and must be applauded. The students of the final year are eligible for campus placements. There are around 150 companies that offer various jon positions all across India and even aboard. Companies like McKinsey, EY Parthenon, American International Group, Wipro, Genpact, KPMG, Deloitte, and even start-ups across the field come for offers in consulting, audit, financial services, Human Resources, associates, business development and others.
College Events
The college is thrilling, it never comes to a stop. Societies, clubs, seminars, workshops, programmes and fests keep up the spirit in the campus. There are more than 50 societies to choose from, Economics SoC, commerce SoC, finance and investment, even stock related and cultural societies like dance, theatre and art. However, the annual fest of the college steals the spotlight, Crossroads and Business Conclave conducted in the month of February and March. Sports complex lets you enjoy basketball, badminton, volleyball, football and cricket all at once. There is a three floor library that caters to all genres and has computer labs too to avail services online. The whole campus is Wifi enabled throughout the academic session.
Fee Structure And Facilities
There has not been any fee hike for over a long period of time. It is infact feasible. However, there are scholarships and financial assistance given to the students to who need it. Based on academic performance and interview, the scholarships are awarded. I'm a second year student and isn't eligible for a campus job yet.
Admission
No, there are no such pattern for admission in University of Delhi. It is solely based on the marks obtained in class 12th board examinations. The admission process is only about the verification of the details and merit based.
