Remarks
I Personally needed Cse/IT branch and government College so that I can get a job quickly and had less burden on my family financially. As this is Government College it has less fees with respect to other private colleges and this college is also autonomous institution. So this College was the best according to that. But this college doesn't provide that much practical knowledge that a student need to be "industry ready" as they say.I got this college in first CAP round and I did admission after 8 days of announcement of rounds
Course Curriculum Overview
As I said I wanted to tech cse/ it branch as they provide higher job opportunities in this College that's the reason why I choose this. The faculty student ratio is around 1:30 for CSE/IT branch much more for Instrumentation and less for civil.faculties are mostly M.tech and some has PhD with them but the problem is that they don't spend time on teaching they hire teacher on contract basis and out of 6-7 subjects 2-3 will be taught by the contractual ones.term exams happen twice a year in Nov- Dec and in April-May as they have a semester pattern course.
Internships Opportunities
There is not much of internship opportunities available in the college but now they are thinking of making the final semester as a intership opportunity for every student to be industry ready.every student has to present the academic project in 3rd year and in final year of course. In 3rd year it's the minor project where students work upon and in the final year the major projects are assigned to the students.
Placement Experience
As I mentioned again and again The placement offered are mostly to the CSE/IT graduate but the campus placement for other core branches isn't that good if anyone is looking forward for placement in core subject.the company visited are samsung tcs cognizant neml persistent hcl L&T Pratiti etc highest package was of 12LPA from Samsung and average package is 3.5-4LPA profile is system engineer mostly.for it/cse the placement is around 90-100% and for other its lower than 15% I would say.my plan after getting degree was preparation of banking exams I love to be in that field.
College Events
The campus life is good they have prajwalan which they call it as central India's biggest tech fest in March in Feb they have cultural festival zenith and in Dec they have interaction with earlier batches of 25 years ago every year.Library is the best thing available out there it has abundant amount of books but they will provide all books which are related to study not other ones. Classroom is just like the old classic ones with blackboard and chalk with additional projector which they use occassionally.also they have late kalpana Chawla trophy which includes all the major sports. Also they have art club in college.not other things are present
Fee Structure And Facilities
There Is no such term as fee hike policy in this college but don't know they hike the fees every now nd then. The annual fee for an OBC candidate is 54840 from 1st to 3rd year each.then about 33000 for the final year of B.tech that fees are much low for SC around 2500 and for ST it is about 925.General category student pays around 69200 which is 15000 more than obc in every year. Most of the students get Government of India Post matric scholarship/tution fees for their caste.I got selected in TCS as a assistant system engineer Trainee but I didn't join that as my goal was other one. It's CTC was 336000
Hostel Facilities
I rented a room nearby my college the rent will be mostly depending on you what type of room you need but the rent revolves around 1300-2200 per month according to facilities.the meal provided to me was from a local mess which costs same as room rent.
Admission
There was no such GD or interview for admission . As the State board has a Common entrance test every year they then there is form fill ups for college that you need and on cutoff basis you will get the college.CET is on the basis of 12th/HSC syllabus of State board.
