WBJEE ( West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination), Rank was between 20000-30000, I heard that mechanical engineering was good in this particular college which made me to opt for this college. There was no interview conducted.

Course curriculum was over all good you get electives like operation research, advanced welding, electrical machines, mechatronics, refrigeration & air conditioning etc. The course was not research oriented but you get seminars that focus on research work.

It doesn't provide internship neither do we get stipend if the candidate has source the college can ensure a training based on the candidate's source.

As far as placement is concerned it's a dam Shit. Only recognized company that recruits is TCS offering a package of 3.33 lpa.

Events celebrated that require mentioning are the gargi memorial cricket & football tournament, volley ball tournament, annual sports and the annual techno cultural fest that's the most biggest event that our college organizes that draws quiet a few participants from all neighbouring colleges.

Feasible since it is coordinated by govt. Of west Bengal (tuition fees approximately 3 lakhs for 4 years) except for the hostel and mess fees that account for 1.5-2 lakhs for 4 years with a hike of 2% annually for each batch.

Only offers tuition fee waiver to those students belonging to non creamy layer annual income of family below 3 lakhs as per govt norms. Loans are offered by more or less all banks.

Gender ratio is poor mainly dominated by males. Extracurricular activities like robotics, debate, etc. occur during annual techno cultural fest. Sports events are conducted separately by students and college very often. Labs are overall good and continuously improving.

Exams and labs are really hectic throughout the course there is no chilling out and stuff like that. Exams and labs are conducted as per university rules and norms.

Faculty was previously very good at present it's a mixture of good, better and best. The college does have experienced faculties along with some young professor who have just started their career. I will give a rating of 2.8/5.
