The experience of Rajagiri

Pros: Good infrastructure and facilities. Incubation centers, Highly Equipped labs, Steag center for projects.Cons: Strict like schools, No free parking for students vehicles, least care about art fest and related activities.Admission procedure: Admission can be through govt. allotment or college merit or NRI quota, the dates of admission is available in official website.

I chose the course because I was interested in mechanical engineering, Facilities are very helpful and they are friendly after 1st year of engineering. They would help you with everything you need to do in projects and all. The facility student ratio is pretty good during the project a team of 4 members is assigned with a guide and a co-guide. All the facilities are MTech qualifies and most them have a Ph.D. The term exams are conducted correctly according to the university guidelines and the level of exam may vary from medium to hard depending upon facility and subjects.

The placements are for IT sector. If you are willing to work in an IT company and if you don't have any backlogs then 90% you will be placed in any of them. Common companies include TCS, Infosys, Cognicent and many more. But the placement in core branches(mechanical, civil) are not that much satisfactory. Only 2 or 3 peoples would end up in job.

Arts fest : 'BHARATHAM' is conducted every year, you can know more about it in the rajagiri website or YouTube channel Tech fest: It is also conducted every year, one of the good events at rajagiri.There is also a sports day conducted for the sake of conducting it and most hostelers go home during it.Classrooms are very good and toilets are well maintained.

The fee (75000)is fixed by the govt for merit students and it may vary for NRI students starting from 4 lacs. The college also collects 10000 along with tuition fee and a one time refundable amount 1lac is collected at the time of joining. Various scholarships are provided for bright students from college and for backward class students can avail scholarship from govt. The campus placement is good from IT companies but mechanical department lacks core placements. (not sure about other core braches)

Rajagiri hostel is one of the best hostel that I have known. The mess is controlled by mess committee which comprises of final year students. The is best in class, you have options to choose single,double or triple room with or without attached bath.The registration to hostel can done at the time of taking admission. Since Info park is close to the college many outside hostels room for rent and restaurants are available near by.

The admission was only based on the rank list prepared from 12 mark and Kerala entrance. Also JEE score is also considered for admission. There was no GD or any other selection procedure. The only that you need to worry is entrance exam
