IIM V the institute of Victory

I have got admission to multiple second and third-generation IIMs. But, I have chosen IIM Visakhpatnam due to its excellent reputation and rapid growth since its inception compared to all 2nd and 3rd generation IIMs. The admission took place in the month of June 2020. The institute has evaluated candidates based on several parameters like past academic performance, CAT Score, Work experience, Academic diversity, and Gender diversity, After that, an interview was conducted to release the finals shortlist of candidates for the admission into flagship program PGP.

The curriculum is rigorous and each student is evaluated on different parameters such as Class participation, Projects, Assignments, Quizzes, Midterm, and End term examinations. The teaching methodology followed by most of the professors in the institute is the case-based approach. The faculty to student ratio is 1:10 (approx). The quality of faculty is amazing and we also get external & eminent faculty from IIM Bangalore to teach certain electives.

100 % of my batch mates got placed with an average stipend of Rs. 62, 624 and highest being Rs. 2 Lakhs. It is week's summer internship program and it is a need for the academic requirement to get an MBA degree. Prominent Recruiters are Nestle, Yes Bank, ICICI Lombard, Bosch, TAFE, Sureti IMF, TATA AIG, IOCL, IFS, etc in all major domains of Marketing, HR, Operations, Strategy & Consulting, Product Management, finance, etc

The placements are amazing and it is achieving 100% in the past 5 years. For batch 2019-21, IIM V has witnessed more than 100 companies, and 120+ offers are made. Prominent recruiters are Deloitte, Amazon, KPMG, Govt of A.P, ICICI Bank, ICICI Lombard, ICICI Prudent Life, Yes Bank, Amul, Andhra Bank, etc. with roles in Consulting, HR, Operations, Marketing, Analytics and General Management

The fee is 15,40,000 (Including Tuition Fee + Hostel & Mess Fee) for two years that is the entire duration of the course. When compared to other IIMs it is a reasonable sum and we have a loan facility available for students to pay a fee. IIM V has few collaborations with banks like Union Bank of India and SBI, which provides interest with the lowest rate possible. There is a scholarship given to students who are economically backward from IIM V. They get a fee waiver of up to 100% depending on their condition. We are also frequently updated with all available scholarships across India by our management.

Most of the college life for our batch 2020-22 was spent online. We are the batch who could able to fight with pandemic and get updated every day to cope up with the rigorous curriculum. But, to be said few of our batchmates got the opportunity to visit campus and it has every facility available ranging from ATM, canteens, gym, etc to medical facilities, playground, and many more. We have enjoyed IIM V's biggest cultural fest Samaarabh online and it was complete fun. We had multiple games, competitions, and DJ nights too. IIM V has more than 17 clubs currently and everything is lead by student bodies. By participating in club activities we could able to get valuable insights about business and learn the practical applications of the obtained knowledge.

IIM V's beach view hostel is absolutely amazing. I have got the opportunity to stay at a hostel and I can say that it is the most memorable experience in entire year 1 of PGP. The hostels are located very near to the beach and we go there every day. The food is super delicious as they have a contract with a 4-star hotel in Visakhapatnam. The rooms are spacious and fully furnished with TV, Refrigerator, Washing machine, Sofa Set, Table, Wardrobe, chairs, bed, etc.
