Review of IMT Nagpur

My admission process began in March 2020 and it included Group exercise and Personal Interview. It went decent and within 3 weeks I had received my admission letter. I chose this college because of the infrastructure it has and what a hostel life one needs to experience. I had a few friends passed out from this college so that also helped me evaluate. The teachers here, the pedagogy they follow, and the campus it has, no other college can be as good as this. The only disadvantage was the location since it is situated 35 km away from the city.

I chose PGDM (core) because I got to do dual specialization. All the faculties here are very well educated holding degrees like Doctorate and Ph.D. The ratio of student to faculty is 1:50 which is quite decent in a B School. Other than that faculties are reachable 24*7 even after working hours. The exams are held in every 3 months and they are not very difficult to pass with the notes we are provided from the faculties.

The companies that visit for internships are CRISIL, PayU, Aditya Birla, etc and they offer a stipend of 20000 per month. The various roles are offered under marketing, finance, HR, operations, etc. The Summer Internship is 100% just like final placements.

From the 5th semester, a student is eligible for placements. There are big companies that visit our college like Neilsen, Barclays, Deloitte, Bain & co. offering a package of a minimum of 8 lakhs. Even during a pandemic, our college made sure to place all the students, and almost the majority of them ar e placed with decent packages, and companies are still visiting for the few of them left.

The fee here is 12,10,1000 for 2 years including the hostel and mess. There are a few scholarships provided to students based on merit. There are big companies that come with an average package of 8 lakhs and to name a few companies- Barclays, Deloitte, Neilsen, Bain and Co etc.

There are 35+ club committees and forums which are run by students and an individual can be a part of any group pertaining to their interest. The classes are mostly smart classes tier-based. There is a library which is called LRC which has a zillion varieties covering all the topics. A student can engage in sports like badminton, basketball, volleyball, etc after class hours.

The hostel fee is included in the total fee only. There are twin sharing or single occupancy rooms. The wings of the boys' hostel are separate from girls. Housekeeping is there to take care of the problems even at the oddest hours. They make sure that it is clean and hygenic for students.

It was a group exercise during my time where we were given a group task and a group of 5 people had to do it. We had to discuss the strength and weaknesses of every individual and then had to write all the common ones on a piece of paper.
