A great learning curve

So talking about my college, it does have both pros and cons, where pros are outweighing the cons. It has an amazing faculty group with vast knowledge in various fields but on the other side, it does lack some new upcoming trends in IT industry topics. Talking about admission, the process goes pretty smoothly because of the number of office staff present making the process quick and painless. The major reason for me choosing this college above others would definitely be the faculty group and how much knowledge. They are amazing people who are ready to help whenever we want to.

I was passionate from the beginning to choose computer because of my avid interest in coding and had mediocre programming skills. The faculty to student ratio is amazing. The intake for the computer dept. is 120 and the faculties are around 24-25. So the faculty to student ratio comes around 1:5 which is pretty standard and overall amazing. All the faculties are ME / MTech and above with a large number having PhD or pursuing PhD. The exams are always conducted in a timely manner no matter what the situation is and as per the difficulty goes, if you attend the faculties lectures it's not difficult to pass.

Students are eligible for placements from the 5th semester itself. PTC-4, Veritas-1, Accenture- 16, Cognizant- 20, Xoriant- 4, Infosys- 7, Capgemini- 12, Abzooba-2, Qulintia- 1 and the list goes on. The highest package offered was from veritas of 10.45LPA and the average package comes around 4LPA 100% of students who apply for placements are placed. Since I belong to the Open category, I had to pay INR 79992 per year for both semesters. There are various scholarship schemes under the college including reservations for socially backward and financially backward classes.

The biggest annual fest in Pune, Sinhgad Karandak, Mostly conducted in the month of February, famous all over India, is indeed a view to be watched and behold. We also have a Department vise event called Techtonic has both technical and general activities and amazing prizes. We have an amazing collection of technical books at the library from local, national, and international authors. All the basic amenities are available in all the classrooms. We have our own kabbadi team as well as a cricket team playing both at college and regional levels. Also, various intercollege meets are carried out during an academic year.
