My college is the ranked 2nd among all and it and it is very reputed college with a very beautiful campus and a very nice surrounding and people .There are not many bad sides but yes it is an NIT so it is a little bit less preferable than IIT admission is through JEE mains and it is after the counselling of JOSSA. You could prefer the college because of its extensive alumni network, and high package. NIT Rourkela website is the best and Monday morning is also good to know about it.

I chose this course because I am very interested in Electrical and the electrical alumni network is very good in NIT Rourkela. The faculty and student ratio is relatively more minor. It is around 14. All the teachers have a doctorate, and the teaching method is quite simple and good. There is a midterm exam and internal semester exam, and it is of medium level, not so difficult.

There are many companies giving internships. Microsoft is one of them and the Odisha electrical department is also one of them . Tata is also there .Stipend Ranges as per the company but the highest was around 1 lakh in Microsoft .I haven't done any internship till now but from seniors I have known that they had very nice experience doing the internships.

You can get placement from third year onwards as pre placement offer after internship. There are many companies visiting like Tata, Bajaj, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs and many more. Number of offer depends on you ,many students get 3 to 4 offers also and most probably everyone gets an offer in their last year .Highest package offered was around 42 lakhs in CSE department and average of the college is around 7 lakhs .Microsoft Goldman Sachs gave 3 to 4 Students each around 30 to 35 lacs .More than 92% students got placements. I have planned to join IIT after clearing Gate.

Fees charged in an NIT is around 60000 per semester and quite less hostel charges and mess charges. The scholarships are given as fee waiver as per your caste and income. There are more scholarships for which you can register online through National scholarship portal. I am in first year so I haven't got any internship till now but the internships are quite good.

Innova vision and techkriti are the main festivals which are celebrated annually. The Biju Patnaik library has many books and you can get each and every book of the need and classes are also quite good and the infrastructure is amazing .In sports we are the best NIT of India .Here you have every ground for every sports .You can do it extra curricular activities on the campus through clubs, there are many clubs in the campus namely Cyborg club, Mavericks club for dance and then club for sports etc.

In the hostel, we are provided with a table fan. We have good quality food which has excellent food on Sunday. You don't need to register for a hostel. You get it when you are qualified to NIT. Hostel mess is very large and comprises of more than 300 students.

I haven't faced any interview questions till now, but for admission, I gave JEE for which I needed to solve many numerical and practice problems for preparation for which you can join coaching. For an interview you can learn online.
