The Sunrise IIM

IIM Visakhapatnam has a separate process for admission. They evaluate a candidate on different aspects such as 10th, 12th, graduation and CAT score along with work experience. All the criteria have different weightage. On these criteria, an individual is called for an interview for PI. Currently, the batch size of PGP 22 is 140. IIM V is situated in the executive capital of Andhra Pradesh state with various advantages such as location, transportation and placements.

We have 3 terms per year and the program is for two years. It offers various subjects as that the individual can develop excellent management acumen in the two years of the program. The courses or subject offered are either 3 credit or 1.5 credit and follow a case study based approach as the methodology of teaching.

The internship is an academic requirement and has to be completed within the duration of 8 weeks. IIMV achieved 100% placements for summers for the past 5 years. The highest stipend for the batch of 20-22 was Rs. 2 lakhs and the average stipend of the batch is around Rs 60,000.

In the view of Pandemic, IIMV was able to achieve 100% placement for the 2nd year batch. Various companies visited our institute like Amazon, Amul, Anand Rathi, Tech Mahindra, Tata AIA, Tata Power, Foxconn, Delloite, etc. The placements are rolling type of placements where companies come to recruit throughout the year.

The fees of this course are 1540000. Fees are hiked every year depending on the institute criteria. Various scholarships are provided to students depending on their need. The institute informs students from time to time.

The campus for IIMV is currently situated at the temporary campus at Andhra University. The permanent campus is currently being developed and The progress can be seen on the IIMV Youtube channel. All the classroom are fully air conditioner and have all the necessary amenities and modern infrastructure. There are student-driven committees like SAC, Consulting club, marketing club, Alumni Committee, cultural cluster, etc. These committees are responsible to organize various business competitions as well as fun events like Samaarabh (Annual cultural feasts), Sangram (Sports event) etc.

The program is residential which means you need to stay at the hostel even if you are a localite. The best thing about the IIMV hostel is the beach view. The hostels are provided with all the facilities ranging from air-conditioned rooms, fully furnished hostel including bed, mattress, study table wardrobe etc. There is also a sofa set, TV and refrigerator in the common area. IIMV has a contract with a 4-star hotel for food - breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner.

After shortlisting from CAT score and academic background a Personal Interview is conducted. The interview evaluates the candidate on the basic skills and knowledge the candidates has from the previous academic background. The interview basically is about what you have done till that point of your life and what is your aspirations by taking this course.
