The Baby IIM, Situated near the seaside of the Bay of Bengal, will definitely provide you with breathtaking scenic beauty, a place to explore. Speaking about the Professors, they are highly talented. There are few Professors whose class you will feel not missing like. The courses circulated are mostly dependent on the academic council, but it considers the students' choices. Most of the JDs you will find here for placements will come from the Background of Marketing & Sales. Other domains like finance & HR getting negligible offers. The college still needs to work on the knowledge base and put much effort to build a strong alumni base.

The course curriculum at IIM Visakhapatnam is scheduled to provide students with the necessary skillsets to be successful in today's world. As part of their flagship program, we have three terms per year and a total of six. In the first two terms, we have the core courses and it's mandatory for every student, from the third term onwards we have introduced electives, every student can choose their area of interest domain to gain more knowledge. Faculty for every course are qualified enough to take through a thorough understanding of concepts and use case study methodologies(HBR) in teaching. Every student is evaluated based on different parameters like class participation, quizzes, assignments, projects, Mid-term and End-term. It also offers an International Immersion program. IIMV have an Incubation center, It helps Entrepreneurs by providing workshops and working as the best platform to promote their ideas.

As a part of IIMV Flagship Program, every student needs to do a summer internship with a duration of 8-weeks after completion of their first year. This is a part of their curriculum. This is an academic requirement. This year also IIM V successfully completed 100% summer placements. The highest package for the internship for PGP 2020-2022 is 2 lakhs. The companies that come from summer internship are ICICI Lombard, TATA, Modern foods, Lubrizol etc.

Despite this pandemic hit, IIMV 100% completed their summer placements this year as well. more than 50 companies visited this year for summer placements as well as final placements. Apart from the regular companies this year new companies also added for giving placement opportunities to the students. Companies offered roles in different profiles like marketing, HR, Operations, BFSI, IT, FMCG and Manufacturing. some of the companies which are visited this year are ICICI Lombard, Lubrizol, MTR, V-Guard, BOSCH, Dalmia Bharat, RBI etc.

1540000 IIMV will provide financial assistance to the students. The financial aid committee will look into the process and guide the students on how to avail this opportunity. they will do a complete background check of the students who applied for financial assistance. for making it transparence and making the eligible student get selection they will follow proper order for choosing students who will desperately need financial assistance.

Since the campus is still under construction, classes are still held on a temporary campus( Andhra University Campus). The permanent campus will be expected to be completed by December 2021. The current temporary campus has all of the requisite facilities and modern infrastructure . There are fully air-conditioned classrooms, a canteen, a gymnasium, medical services, a library and many other amenities. They have two main committees placement committee and the student's affairs committee(SAC). They have one committee which completely looks into the learning part of the students, which is the students' academic council. It makes sure every student avail of the benefits from college offerings. There are multiple clubs and committees like consulting club, cultural cluster, HR club, Marketing club and sports club. We have an annual cultural fest Samaarambh.

Every IIM V student has the best-fun filled memories they never forget in their life is with the Beach view Hostel. All the Hostel IIMV are located very near to the college around 300-400 m distance. They will provide a transport facility to travel between hostels and college. All hostels are well equipped and have good maintenance. All hostels have recreation areas there we can have different games. Food will be provided by 4-star hotels which they are contracted with. They have one Hostel and mess committee, they work on the food and the facilities in the hostels.

After clearing the CAT, I got the opportunity to apply for IIM Visakhapatnam. The interview is completely based on your resume and work experience if you have. Interview questions are generic and current issues going on in society. It also tests your skills and knowledge in different areas.
