Calcutta Institute of Technology is located in the outskirts of Howrah at a place named Uluberia. Amidst the greenery, CIT has a great environment and infrastructure, with big and smart classrooms and spacious, well equipped and well maintained labs. The professors here are the best, one can ever have. From knowledge to behavior, the professors share an amiable bond with the students. All the students are personally groomed and are taken good care of, with numerous doubt clearing classes and enhanced practical lab experiences. I must say that the labs are very well equipped with all required instruments to provide the students a next level lab experience. CIT takes good care and interest in sports and extra curricular activities for the overall development of its students. From CIT's lush green environment to amazing and knowledgeable teachers and loving friends my time here has a been an incredible exposure and I feel lucky that I have got the change to complete my B.tech from CIT.

The college takes good care of the courses prescribed by the University , by regular assessments and assignments. The coursework mainly focuses on offering practical learning in various Engineering specializations. The curriculum broadens the thinking horizons and allows graduates to have the practical knowledge required for industrial operations. The professors here are the best one can ever have. From knowledge to behavior, the professors share an amiable bond with the students. All the students are personally groomed and are taken good care of, with numerous doubt clearing classes and enhanced practical lab sessions. The professors also take care of the mental growth of the students by making them aware of new technologies, internships, developments and so on. All the professors are mostly from masters background and the faculty to student ratio is 15:1. The semester exams are all concept based and are neither too hared no too easy but totally conceptual.

All the students of third year are open to various paid internships and are paid a stipend of Rs 8000 to Rs 10000 per month. The professors expose the students to various kinds of internships to provide them with work and industrial experience with different companies. The internships help us to gain knowledge and also teaches us to work hand in hand with different people. The students enter to different companies and later on by their performance and perseverance, become an asset the the same company. The college makes us open to different internships and projects based on: The Campus Ambassador Programs, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security , Ethical Hacking and so on.

All the students of the fourth semester are allowed to sit for the interviews with different companies for placements in different posts in companies. The college is visited by different reputed MNC's every year for recruitment like: TCS, Hashed IN by Deloitte, eQ Technologies, Saddle poilt, BYJU's, MAC Software, Mavantic, Databeat, RUCHA GROUP, Smith's group, Paaapri Technology, Poonam Infovision etc. and the students are offered a minimum package of 4 LPA and a maximum package of Rs 12 LPA at different posts in the company. The college has a placement record of 70%, increasing every year. The placement cell of the college trains the students well before appearing for the interview round with different companies. The professors are very supportive and help the students with every sort of knowledge and help they can provide them with.

The fee structure for B.tech in Computer Science and Engineering in CIT is Rs 350000 for four years, that is quiet an affordable price rather than other private colleges. Rather than an affordable cost of study, the students with a good merit score are also provided with various Scholarship opportunities. The scholarship opportunities make it easy for the students who come from a middle class background, to dream big and study a course in CIT.

CIT has a lush green environment with large infrastructure and well equipped and well maintained labs. The library consists of 10000+ books of all the authors and all courses taken up in CIT, so that the students can avail all the required knowledge that they need in their course. The students also utilize their free time to explore the various new books in the library. Our college and faculties make us open to all kind of internship programs, like the Campus Ambassador programs and all other technology oriented internships.

Admissions are allowed on basis of merit from the basic exams of WBJEE and JEE MAINS. These exams are basically the most exams one need to appear to pursue a technical or Architecture course or even Pharmacy. One needs to clear the cut off marks of the exam to get a chance to apply for a course in any college. The exams are of moderate types comprising of mainly three subjects namely Physics, Chemistry and Math's/Biology. Students mainly need to focus on their NCERT and get thorough with all the basic concepts and clear all the doubts. The JEE MAINS exam is basically of 3 hours of 3 different shift timings and the WBJEE has 2 shifts, the first half comprises of 2 hours only for Physics and Chemistry and the second half consists of only one paper of Math's of 2 hours.
