A college of dreams

This college is one of the topmost colleges in west Bengal with minimal fees and good quality education. It has adequate infrastructure to provide education and other extracurricular activities. Some good teachers are extremely qualified and skilled and they are brilliant in their respective fields. The admission process is both simple and straight. I got to know about this college from teachers and students from my school who have passed from this college and are employed in good jobs across India. Also, faculties are helpful and caring. All faculty members are helpful and caring. I chose Computer Science and Engineering. Our college has excellent faculties in this course. The student to faculty ratio is 10:1 that is for every 10 students we have 1 teacher which makes the education efficient and successful. Every topic is made easy and given emphasis which helps a student to prepare better for the future. Also, stress is given for updating the student and make him/her up to date. Exams are also taken at regular intervals and questions are basically about real-life examples and increasing as well as emphasizing the practical approach of the students.

College also offers internship placements in many companies and business. Students are groomed for the internships and are made to apply at Internshala in Tata tech., Infosys etc. Also one can get internships during projects where college funds the projects if the project is a winner in events.

The students can avail themselves for placements from the 3rd semester, Many companies such as TCS, Infosys, Microsoft visit the college. A special department of the placement cell is dedicated to grooming students for placement interviews. Many students from the Computer branch get placed annually during on-campus placement. I am looking forward to getting a placement. However, I am also aiming to crack GATE and study further for MTech. One can also prepare well for GATE during studying in this college.

The fees in this college are minimal and sufficient. Whereas Computer Science department in many colleges costs up to lakhs, here it is only Rs 64000 in 4 years. The same is for other departments. This college is perfect for low-cost good quality education. Still, if some students are incapable to afford the fees, there are a large number of scholarships from the West Bengal Government as well as the Central government such as the Aikashree Scholarship, Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (SVMCM). Also, there is a scholarship program of the college where it gives scholarship to a meritorious student coming from a low-income background.

The college conducts a tech fest and annual fest every year. All the students are invited to the tech fest to show their skills and earn a good reward. Tech fest generally includes Robo war, machine war, making of machines, coding. The Annual Fest is the largest in North Bengal. Many singers from all over India are invited. Even food is arranged for students on the last day. The library of the college is big, spacious and filled with good books. Students can borrow books from the library if they are unable to buy books for the semester. The classes of the college are clean, airy and with sufficient benches. There are also smart rooms with projectors for technical education. The boards are large so that even the students on the last bench can see clearly what's being taught in the class. The college has two large grounds with available sports materials. There is also a gym. The college has many clubs such as Sports Club, Magazine Club, Photography club, Literature.
