Remarks

After completing my diploma, I attend the JELETE entrance exam. After the declaration of Rank Card, I Went to the Calcutta Institute of Technology and After seeing my marks in diploma,10+2th, 10th and rank card of JELETE they agreed to give me admission in the college. This college is near to my home and also a good facility available here so I choose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

In our college, there are several types, of course, like Computer Science & Engg., Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engg., Chemical Engg, Electrical Engg, Mechanical Engg and post-graduate degree like Master in Computer Application, Master in Business Administration. Our college exam structure is as per MAKAUT exam structure four slot exam & practical examination and semester held under the supervision of teacher and CCTV.

Course Fees: INR 59000 per year

Placement Experience

The placement is not too bad. Many Companies visits our college for placement. Our faculty and teachers trying their best to get 70-80% student campus placements. Companies such as Infosys, Amazon Pvt. Ltd, Flipkart, Jai Bharat Maruti, Wipro Technologies, Regalix Inc, L&T Infotech, Daffodil and many other small MNC arrange such that a maximum number of students get placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

College fees are affordable. Fees Structure for Lateral Entry student 29500 per semester. There are many ways to pay fees like Demand Draft, Net Banking, debit card. Also, Scholarship is available for needy students. In this pandemic situation our college extends the time period for fees payment and also instalment pay accepted.

Campus Life

There are many fest and tech fest held. It starts with a fresher welcome, Independence day, Biswakarma puja, Saraswati puja, Teachers day and many other memorable days celebrating with teachers. All subject books and some competitive exam books available in the library. In each semester we received books for all subjects along with two renewable books. We have to return these books within the given date otherwise a fine has to be paid. In this pandemic situation, college faculty distribute books by bus at our nearest location. Extracurricular activities like cricket, football tournament, and blood donation camps, tree plantation held every year.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
