Remarks

Bad: I stayed on Hostel. But there is no WiFi Which other college hostels have. Also no girls hostel in this college. Placement is very poor.Good: They provide scholarship to all candidates who have BPL certificate.

Entrance Preview

The numbers of seats are very limited and students not only have to score high marks, but also need to pass in the entrance examinations to gain entry into this prestigious college. I appeared for Mathematics Honor Entrance Test. After passing this test they took personal interview (asked some easy formula related to Maths) Finally I selected for Mathematics Honor.

Internships Opportunities

This college was established a long time ago and most of the departments are over 75 years old. For example, the Assamese Department was established even before independence was achieved.

No company come to this college. However computer science students can get this facility for better placement.So there is nothing to write about placements.

College events: Celebrate every events like othe colleges.College week,Teachers day.Youth festival.Fresher's.Independent day & lots more...Some students who are interested in sports take part in various competition with other college students.......

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure:HS: Rs 5000 - 7000.TDC: Rs 7000 - 9000 depending on subjects. Computer science: 15000 - 20000 Commerce: 14000 - 16000Msc: 20000 - 40000.

Fees and Financial Aid

They offer Scholarship to SC, ST, OBC etc Casts. I belongs to OBC but still not received.. Not only me all OBC candidates from 2011-12 batch has not received scholarship.

Campus Life

This is a top college in guwahati. All toppers come from various school after passing HSLC exam..Sports facility is good. Almost all sports available here. Gym is also available. I loved it. Teachers are good. In library huge collection of books. Found evey books. Internet facility is also available.Oveall B.Borooah is a good college.

Hostel Facilities

The boys hostel is situated just behind the College campus but here also, seats are limited and seats are served only to the meritorious people. Being a part of the College was a great experience for me and was quite a learning phase. Also foods are good

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

The interaction with seniors was good. They all nice. Raging free campus. In my department they treated me as their brother & helped me to score good marks in the examination.

Exam Structure

Exam is conducted by Guwahati University for Degree Students. And by AHSEC for H.S students.The nature of Exam is good.

Handique Girl's College, Gauhati University, B borooah College and i got selected in every college but i chose B Boroaah as it is A++ credited by NAAC and it provides good courses and faculty is very good as compared to others.
