A better college in West bengal

This college is now in the top 5 colleges of west Bengal with very good infrastructure in just not so long boundaries with decent placement opportunities for every branch. Nothing bad about it, just the localities is not so big and fancy as it is located in a small village-like area but still have the market to provide every need to the students. WBJEE is conducted every year around May to get admission in this college with your merit & you have to perform very decently to get through this. After counseling, they call you and explain the admission procedure and help you to get the admission if you're quite eligible. Good infrastructure and a very good student environment away from the fancy life is a very good reason for me to refer to this college. Electrical Engineering is the second-best department of engineering after computer science. The courses mostly move around topics like circuits, semiconductors and microprocessors. Placements are also very good with an average of 36 lacs/year. Faculties are of international reputation. The college has a student-faculty ratio of 16:1. Each student gets some assistant teachers apart from course faculties to help them with their doubts. Faculties are very well qualified with PhD and specialization in the courses from international and elite national universities. The teaching method is well tested and effective. However,it may appear to be boring in few cases. Mostly two major exams happen at the end of each semester. Some quizzes also happen in between semesters along with a few surprise ones in some courses. It is easy to pass if one listens to class or reads reference materials and solves past year papers before exams.

Actually, most of renowned all IT-based companies like Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant etc. come here and most of the IT/CSE degree holders gets job in those companies. As I'm a Mechanical student, some of the companies that come here for core industries are Godrej, Usha appliance, Hyundai etc. They offer a lot of opportunities to the freshly graduated students.Aot offers very good campusing. By the end of 4 years if you are hard-working and sincere you will definitely get a job. Also, aot offers preplacement classes which will help you get through in any company.

It costs around 5 lacs in total considering hostel expenses too for a general student whose parental income is more than 5 lacs yearly. Based on family income and category,fees is different for different students. An innumerable number of scholarships like the Dean Scholarship are provided to students based on merits and family financial conditions. Apart from this, various paid internships are also offered to students. Institute also provides 0 interest loans to students who want it to pay fees. In general, the institute itself takes care of all fee-related problems faced by students and offer them solutions. Hence , the system is very good and student need not to take the burden of fees.

Labs are very good and equipped with every engineering requirement. The Book collection in the library is exceptionally good. They also had separate reading rooms and books for pursuing further higher studies and competitive exams. The entire campus was covered with Wi-Fi. The college had one basketball ground, one football ground, a cricket ground, and one badminton ground. Students used to actively participate in sports.The gender ratio is approximately 44-56(female-male). The students are well disciplined due to our teachers. No religious nor any sexual problems are faced by any of the students. No party politics are allowed. No community. The teaching of students and new technologies are the only things which is carried throughout.

This hostel is absolutely superb, the staff are friendly, helpful, full of local knowledge, and go the extra mile. The facilities are cleaned daily, rooms are spacious, air-conditioned, large lockers for the bigger backpacks, free wireless internet in the lounge with some computers also connected to the internet, with a large screen TV (which was popular most evenings)
