Remarks
As a student at NMIMS, SoHM is an amazing learning experience for me. SoHM faculty is extremely supportive and encouraging. Faculty make a concerted effort and ready to help students. College provides opportunities for all students to showcase their talents by participating in various competitions. Sports and educational events conducted in college. Theoretical knowledge is applied in regular classes through a real-world examples. Lab practicals are an excellent source of learning and platform for developing practical skills that are useful for hotelier. College keeps organizing different seminars, conferences, alumni meet timely to ensure what is going on in the world. College is extremely strict with respect to attendance at least 80% attendance required. As it helps us how we truly learn to manage our time. Faculty appears to overburden us with assignments, presentations, and articles they ultimately help us grow by instilling in us the necessary skills to succeed in the outside world.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Faculties are competent and knowledgeable. They are always willing to assist students. The university's course structure is extremely beneficial to students, as it enables us to learn and study in a systematic and efficient manner. They handle the current Covid-19 situation admirably through the use of online lectures and classes. This is also aided students and faculty in conserving and utilizing their time for learning and productivity.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities are given to the students of the Second Year, the Fourth Semester. Students have no restrictions to do internships in India itself, the options to do in Abroad and choice to get internship apart from companies visited in the college.
Placement Experience
In the Third Year, students become eligible for campus placements. The minimum percentage of students getting placements is 60%. Practical knowledge is equally important with theoretical knowledge as we are in the service industry so we must know well about the industry.
Fees and Financial Aid
The placement cell of the college is excellent, guaranteeing 100% placement for all graduates. Fees are affordable for everyone. College financial assistance to the students participating in the competitions.
Campus Life
We have two college fests, Ignite and Prabhalya, during which the committee hosts a variety of cultural events, quizzes, and cultural activities. As a student, we have access to a wide variety of books in the library as well as highly informative e-resources.
Interview Experience
Basically the interviewers want to know, how well we know about the industry and course. Are we aware of the industry and current situation? They test our abilities and knowledge. Also, we are ready to tackle every situation and the pressure of the industry.
