Remarks

This college is really good with low cutoff and good teachers . It strictly follows AICTE guidelines . You can directly take admission after passing WBJEE . You have to apply during the counselling session during April- May session .I preferred this college as I found my favorite department ECE here . This college also has a good environment to study , with no student politics and this is situated in a modern town area. My teachers suggested me for this college .The only con is the absence of 24 hour lab .

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The college offers a variety number of courses CSE , IT , ECE , EE , CE , AEIE. and also follows the recent AICTE guidelines. There is a good number of faculty members in the college about 9:50. Teachers are really good and supportive they influence us to go for Tech-fest . Most of the teachers have doctorate degree in technology field .Exams are taken in accordance to AICTE Guidelines . Exams are really tough , teachers take individual efforts and make question papers themselves.

Internships Opportunities

3

College contacts different companies and give the details to the students . So it is mainly upon the student who are willing to join . Mainly students do many private internships . I also got one internship . In my case seniors helped me to find it . They pay my college fees and I have to do some machine fixing task .

Placement Experience

3.5

Campus placement percentage is quite good . Students are eligible to sit for campus interview from the 3rd year of engineering i.e. 5th semester . Companies like flipkart , WIPRO, L&D, are the big names but many local companies visit our college for placement. Their often appoints a good number of jobs to the students in average about 120 students or more get jobs in these companies. As far as I know the highest package offered was 23 lacs P.A. to a ECE student and average package offered is about 6 lacs P.A. About 72 percent students gets placed every year . I got an internship in a company in my first year so I have planned to join them once I get the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees is about 64200 per year and has not increased in last few years . It is not as huge as private colleges but not much affordable as government colleges . There is also some scholarship for poor students who directly take admission from WBJEE. That reliefs about half of the fees . There are some scholarships for college toppers. College also approves many government and private scholarships like3 SVMCM, SIEMENS etc.

Campus Life

4.5

Our college does not arrange tech fests but annual fest is held in the month of May or June . College has own library and almost every book we need for engineering studies , we get there so it is enough for engineering students and latest journals and everyday newspaper is available there. Classrooms are big and spacious , clean and hygienic . Benches and board are big . This college has many auditorium halls and computer labs with modern facilities. College has it's own cricket team and sport is a mandatory subject for 1st semester students . College has many tech related groups that help new comers to learn . Seniors are very helping .

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostels rooms are good for two and spacious and clean also . There are three boys hostels (Banabas , P.C. and one other ). There is a girls hostel also inside the college premise . So security is good for everyone . Meal quality is average , like homemade food and gives us two meals per day. You have to register for hostel in time of admission . The hostel fees is 900 Rs. per month and they charge 40 per meal . So I think it is affordable . The college is in central Burdwan so it is quite secure and violence free for college students . There are many colleges nearby so many affordable Mess and P.G. s are there and the area is quite secure and neighbors are friendly.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
