Remarks

I always wanted to get admission into a govt college. And according to my jee marks, this college was best as this is located in New Delhi and i could get the benefit of state quota. Also, there was fear of going to another state as I was adapted to live in Delhi. The admission was totally based on jee mains score and the basic documents were required like jee score, 12th marksheet, category certificate, aadhar card etc. When I first visited the college, I was attracted to see the large and lush green campus with a canteen, Amul shop, BR auditorium, sports Complex and all.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I was interested in small electronic devices like calculators, sensors, chips and also had a keen desire to explore the communication system. That's why I chose ECE. Here the course curriculum is perfectly designed. All the subjects required for this course are to be taught in a sequence. The faculties are highly qualified and experienced. Interested students can contact them personally too for more help like regarding projects or placements. We had two-term exams earlier, so in total 8 terms but presently in the online mode, there is a slight change in the pattern. Now there are 3 class tests for ETE and 2 surprise tests plus one project of each subject for MTE.

Internships Opportunities

4

The college provides various internships to help the students boost their knowledge and skill in their field of expertise. Many big companies visiting the campus for placement also offer internships. And there are some startups too that hire students with stipends from rs 5000 to 40000. The projects help us in getting shortlisted for internships. The students are required to perform allotted tasks in a specified period of time. It may include graphics design, web development, machine learning, artificial intelligence etc.

Placement Experience

4.5

Generally, students start doing internships in the 3rd year but they can do it in the 2nd year too if they possess the required skills. The placement is good. Every year almost 300+ companies visit the campus including companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, IBM, Siemens, etc with 1400+ offers from all branches. The highest package is 1.27 crore given by google then next is 1.25 crore by uber. The average package is around 11 lakhs. Almost all the students with good knowledge and skills get placement. But there are some problems with offline placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fee was 1,66,000 for the first year. But it keeps on increasing by almost 10% every year. So it was 1,90,000 in the second year, 206000 in the third year and so on. There are mainly two options for financial assistance. (1) Fee concession to be provided by the college itself. It is provided to desirous and eligible students belonging to low-income groups. (2) merit cum means income-linked financial assistance to be provided by the govt of nct of Delhi. Besides these, there are many scholarships too, for meritorious students.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is fine. The annual Cultural fest 'Engifest' comprises of various events like bike racing, painting, dancing, edm night and many more. It is one of the top college fests in North India. It continues for three days. It has witnessed very popular artists in the past like Sidhu moosewala, divine, papon, Vishal Shekhar etc. Then there are three more fests- tech fest, literary fest(YUVAAN), and sports (AAHVAAN) . The library is a three-story building with well-maintained infrastructure. Not only science books but humanities books, storybooks, novels, holy books are also available. The classroom is a spacious, fully air-conditioned room along with fans and a proper lighting system to accommodate 50 -60 students. Sports Complex is a vast area having separate courts for all games. Interested students can play kabaddi, basketball, football, cricket, tennis, badminton badminton, snooker.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.
