Remarks

Everything I experienced here at SRCC is good and taught me something valuable about my life. So, In my opinion, there are no bad aspects. The admission process here is based on the merit earned by a student in +2, where one has to score considerably high to make it through the cut-off list. This college comes under Delhi University. I believe every commerce or economics student would have heard of this epitome of learning once in thier school days and to some, it is their dream college. Also, it is one of the top-ranked colleges in India.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

B.Com(H) is one of the traditional courses that are being offered to a commerce student after completion of his +2. It is based on CBCS pattern also there are additional subjects which one can choose based on thier interests..and SRCC is the best college if you want to pursue this course. The faculty at SRCC is the best. Teachers having experience of more than 10 years, having published many books of thier own, represented India at various platforms and most importantly have a friendly approach of teaching the new ones. You can approach them anytime to ask your doubts and for guidance. SRCC follows semester exam pattern like other DU colleges and the term exams are based on CBCS pattern in which one can score high by paying attention to the lectures. So, they are pretty easy to pass through.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements offered by SRCC are yet another reason why many students want to join this prestigious institution. One becomes eligible for placements during his/her final year. There are various companies such as EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PWC, Bain and Company, Zomato, etc that visits the campus for recruitments offering packages ranging from lowest 5-6L to highest 32L during my time. I don't have the accurate data because of the current pandemic but approx 45% of the students got placements. Though I did not sit in the placements due to my plans for further studies and preparation for UPSC.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure here is a little different as semester fees in SRCC are approx 2-3K higher than most of the other colleges in Delhi University. The cost of a study depends on whether you are based in Delhi or have come from other states to study. As I am a Delhiite so there was not such considerable cost except for the transportation. At SRCC there are many scholarships based on merit, interview, financial condition etc. I got merit cum need-based scholarships for all my college years which was provided by the government. And it really helped me alot. So all in all doing B.Com at SRCC is within ones means.

Campus Life

4

Campus Life at SRCC is not less than a magical experience and the most fascinating part of this adventure is the Crossroads the annual fest of SRCC which is organised in the month of March after the mid-sem break. It is a 3 days fest which is a never forgetting experience. Undoubtedly the most beautiful part of my college life. There is a co-op store for any stationary needs within the college and the library at SRCC is the best I have ever seen it has n number of books on various subjects, newspapers for government job aspirants and wifi also. Classrooms are spacious, well ventilated, and clean to provide an ideal studying environment also there are air conditioners and digital screens installed for the better learning experience. As far as sports and other activities are concerned there is a sports complex which has the best facilities and playing area in Delhi University. There is also a swimming pool on the campus and couple of lawns to sit around and various societies doing their stuff

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
