Remarks

I chose to attend this college because I am a resident of Nagpur. This College is a well-known Private Engineering College than any other institute. Naturally, it was always the first choice to get into this college because of the status this institute has maintained over the years. About Admissions (In B.E): The institute accepts admissions on management level quota but strictly on a merit basis only. This is a first-round for getting admission here. Following this, there are CAP (Centralised Admission Process) rounds that take place. Even in these rounds, the admissions are provided on a merit basis only. There is one major advantage for Linguistic Minority students who have their mother tongue as a "Hindi" Language. 51 % of the total seats in any stream are reserved for these category Students. Again these students are also given priority on a merit basis. I read about this college on various websites like Quora, CollegeDuniya, College360, and many more.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose B.E in computer science here. It's the most demanding course in the college in engineering. Also, I had a good rank in MH-CET, so I Got admission to this course. There are two shifts in the college for many streams. There is no major difference as such in these shifts other than timings. The first shift usually gets the morning class timings and the noon class timings for the second shift. In my Stream (CSE) the faculty was quite good. They were helpful and highly qualified. Still, the little issue was, that some teachers were too committed to complete the syllabus rather than checking the student understanding. But it is also true that students need to be self-dependent and approach teachers to solve their issues. The student ratio was not the best part. In my class, we had a strength of about 69. Out of those, there were 9 girls and 60 boys. The assessment process is very well structured. The exams here not very easy to get through. All you need to do is to study regularly.

Internships Opportunities

4

The Rcoem TBI (Technology Business Incubators) foundation provides various Internship opportunities to the students. There are various startup programmes under the TBI. Usually, these startups won't provide a stipend but once you get appropriate experience, you may get a stipend. if the startup idea is enlightening, the TBI provides funding for the development.

Placement Experience

4

Many-Core Companies come to the college to provide campus placement opportunities. Accenture, Infosys, L&T, etc are the major names that I know. 31 lakhs per annum is the highest package offered by Mu Sigma to date. The average package is around 5 lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

For B.E (2019-2023), The first-year fees were Rs 154900. And Rs 149400 for the second, third and final year. There is an opportunity for a scholarship for general category students. If the annual family income is less than 8 lakhs, the student can apply for MAHA-DBT scholarship. About 40% of the total fees in returned in this scholarship. The institute also provides scholarships to meritorious students. In each semester, the list of toppers from the respective streams gets the scholarship benefits. Also, there is a scholarship for hostel students. On the basis of merit, some hostel students get the benefits. Also, there is a TFWS (Tuition fee waiver seat) scheme in which some students are completely deprived of Tuition fees.

Campus Life

4

"Prtishruti" is the biggest cultural fest. It lasts for about 10 days and provides complete refreshment to students from the busy academic schedule. The event " AARUNI " is held exclusively for first-year students. Other than these there are many events on various department levels. Like in the CSE department, there is "POLARIS" which is a technical event. There are various clubs in college like the music club, the drama club, the dance club, etc. All these clubs organize many events regularly. These clubs function under the SRC (Student Representative Council). All the big events are organized by the SRC. The "BRANCH CUP" is the most famous event in the college. Library: Most of the time, books are available. They can be borrowed for 14 days. After that there is fine, so better to re-issue it within 14 days. Books may not be available some days before exams. Sports: Many sports like volleyball, basketball, football, cricket, table tennis, etc are the major attractions of the students.
