Remarks
I applied for many colleges like Techno India, B.P Podder but they were asking for donations. So, I came up with GNIT they saw my JEE marks and WBJEE score, and I got selected. The admission process was very good. I didn't found any difficulty.
Course Curriculum Overview
The qualification of faculty members are good all are M.Tech. All are professors but they don't teach that great. They will guide you. But you have to study at home properly. Some teachers are supportive.
Placement Experience
Companies start coming after the 6th sem i.e., in the final year near June July. During my time most companies that came were IT. Some were too good, like., Capgemini, mindtree etc. The core companies visit very little. The package of IT companies is around 3.50 - 4.20 LPA. Most of the students get placed from the IT CS branch. If you are good at coding you will be placed, regardless of any branch.
Fees and Financial Aid
Overall fees are 4,06,400. It may vary. The campusing was good during my time. The training was difficult. They were not that supportive during training. But campusing was great. The autonomous fees are higher. We were under MAKAUT.
Campus Life
There are tech fest held each year. The library is dumb, it must improve. The classroom is fine. There are sports activities where both teachers and students participate. The books in the library are old. The classroom must have projectors. The tech fest is important and helps in learning and achieving.
