Remarks
I had applied nearly for 12 colleges in Kolkata like Rcc Institute of Information technology, Netaji Subhash Engineering College, Heritage Institute of Technology, Institute of engineering and management, Techno main etc. The admission criteria were that students had to have at least 60% in PCM in boards and passed 10+2. The admission process was smooth and all was carried out online and counseling was done by the wbjee bourds on basis of the ranks secured by the students.
Course Curriculum Overview
It is my hobby to go more and more deep into coding so there was no better option for me than to choose BTech in COMPUTER SCIENCE. Most of the Faculty are good they understand the students very well and they are polite too and are pretty much helpful in solving any doubt(s) coming from the students. The Faculty are highly qualified in their respective subjects as a student would aspire their Teacher, Faculty to be. The way they teach is awesome and they too make the subject more interesting to listen to and learn. The term exams were most of the time taken on time and papers were moderate and it would be easy for someone studying and following the classes properly.
Placement Experience
One area for which most of the students are concerned about is placement.Our college has sen a bit of dip in placement in past few years. But is slowly recovering from this year and will go one doing.Students after reaching 4th year become eligible to seat for campus placements. The companies which comes to our college are- *TCS *Cognizant *Infosys *Pwc *Global IDs *Hexaware Technologies. The no. Of offers made by all are around 200. The highest package was 8lpa by Infosys , 7Lpa by TCS, 6.75lpa by cognizant, 5L by hexaware, 4.40 lpa by pwc,3.50lpa by Global IDs . The average LPA of all the companies was 3.5 LPA. Around 65% students gets on campus placement(s). I hope to get into some GOOD IT COMPANY AND ALSO MORE IMPROVE MY SELF IN SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fess like every other thing in always increasing nothing much to say and the cost to study is also high for a student who is not financially stable. Till now only one scholarship is provided by the college though it doesn't fall under my course so I don't know much about it.
Campus Life
The Regalia is the annual fest of our college and Techtrix is the name of the tech fest and the fest takes place in the month of April and March respectively. The library is best place in the college where you can find some time to spend with zero noise and it is pretty big and has a whole lot of books of every subject one can think of. The class room feels like it is a bit small for 60 students specially during summer season otherwise the bench, desk ar always in good condition and class room is cleaned daily by our college staffs and the rooms are Air-conditioned. Extra-curricular activities are on of most interesting thing on would face in this volloge there are whole lot of activites taking place through out the year. Sports is something in which the students are pretty active and it's much appreciated one. The students of our college run RCCTECHZ club, coding club and many others.One of the main thing is the website run by our college students is the RCCtechz website where they organize events
