Counselling was easy, you can opt for this college after giving your wbjee or jee examination and according to your marks and cut-off you'll be getting the colleges and according to the college cut-off you'll get the steam.
Course Curriculum Overview
I'll be talking about 1 semester. It keeps changing according to the University but I'll provide a general structure. There will be 2 internal exams of 30 marks and according to the marks of both either one of the best or the average marks will be sent to the university and then there will be the practical examination of 100 marks(80+20viva) which will be taken under the invigilance of college faculties itself. And last the sem exams of 100 out of which 70 will be of the exam papers and 30 which you'll score in internal exam.
Internships Opportunities
See honestly I sat for one internship drive for a sales company, I got selected in the G.D round and was not selected in the interview section. But yes there were students who got selected for that company. And yes there are lots of opportunities for internships and jobs through this college.
Placement Experience
You can get your internship in your 3rd year and if you'll perform best in your internship you'll be selected as a full time employee in that same company. And for your job placement, you'll be eligible from the 7th semester with terms and conditions applied according to the company's eligibility criteria. Many companies allow people to sit who are having backlogs some not but I'll suggest please clear all your backlogs before the 7th semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
I got placed in Cognizant with (3.8lacs/annum) and un TCS (3.6lacs/annum) and in AAPNA INFOTECH (3.5lacs/annum). Coming to fees of the college it's not very high. A middle class average family can also afford to study here. You'll be surprised to know that the Dean faculties had really helped the students who had lost their parents due to some reason
Campus Life
Yes, there's a ROTARACT CLUB OF MCKVIE(RCMCKVIE) which is headed by final year students and all the students from 1st year to 4th year can join and participate in various types of events organised by Rotaract group. It's not only just about helping the needy ones but also helping oneself in their own personality by coming out of the comfort zone.
Hostel Facilities
No, I haven't rented a room, I was in the college hostel itself. But yes the locality is good and Safe as the college is in the main market so you can just go grab anything whenever you want to. Coming to the hostel, we all know about the food of hostel since it is in Bengal, if you're Bengali or you have a taste bud similar to Bengali food dishes, you'll somehow like food and if you're not so fond of that taste, you may face some issues but you can obviously eat it for like filling your tummy.
