It's one of the famous Delhi University colleges, so they take admission on the basis of merit basis of state 12th boards exams or cbse results. Rajdhani's cut off several lists come around May or June. In 2020 highest cut off goes around 92% and lowest in 5th list 76% After the merit list they admit the head to the specific course only after the successfully submission of registration fees and security deposit.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is wide and covers all aspects of chemistry whether it is atomic chemistry or modern chemistry, faculty is just too good and friendly they are too supportive and helps at every stage of up and down, faculty ratio is around 30:1 which is typical DU style, all faculty are well educated and phd holders and have decades of teaching experience. DU has a semester system the same as any other university there are total 6 semesters and 2 term exams in each semester.
Internships Opportunities
There are many placements drives organised by placement cell every year which recruits students. In the year 2020, around 1.5 lpa is the lowest package offered and the highest is around 6 lpa. Many summer internships held around June July which helps students in gaining industrial experience. I've been tied up with few others students in the project of insulin development with a chemical company with a good stipend.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, there is a fee hike in recent few years, it's around 10 to 15 percent maybe it's due to changes in administration or curriculum development, Rajdhani offers many courses in humanities, accounting, and technology. Bsc chem fees are around 40,000 which is around 13,000-15,000 per year, which is quite affordable for lower section of society. There are scholarships offered by the central govt and few by campus.You can apply them online thorough university portal.
Campus Life
DU is well known for its campus events and traditional fests. Periodically events of the department, nss excites the student with enthusiasm and determination. Many clubs are there such as robotic club,arts club, sports club and there are many many nonprofitable groups run by seniors which are very helpful in social and personality development.
