Entrance Preview

IIT JEE, I opted for this college because it is one of the prestigious college of India. Even though I was not knowing that ISM is going to convert into IIT (as the tag of IIT matters more for most Indian students).

Placement Experience

Well pleacements are quite good. But since my department is applied geophysics which is a research oriented branch so placements may be found low in this branch but in other branch they are quite good and will improve because of conversation to IIT.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes they offer scholarship to all the students of applied geophysics but after first year. The amount is Rs.5000 per month.

Exam Structure

There are 2 semesters in a year. In each semester there are mid semester exam and final semester exam. If someone does not performs good in exam then the person is given another chance in summer semester (extra semester).

Most of the teachers are highly experienced, but few a new. Although I am a freshers so I cannot judge the whole faculty of my department.

I see a lot of students who struggled in maths, that's why I chose this course. If I talk about real-world examples, from number systems to multiplication, fractions and trigonometry to find the height of pole. Areas of improvement are to relate mathematics with real-world examples, use methods like Vedic mathematics, and also creative, active participation rather than rote memorisation.
