Remarks
As I mentioned in the previous step that applied for CSE in UIET and almost all the courses for NIT and PEC and my first preference is for PEC only. The admission criteria are like we have to choose preference-wise branches so we can get the most suitable branch according to our JEE marks. The admission process was on the online portal and we used to get shortlists of counseling rounds accordingly.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was pretty well structured but some things to be getting addressed and students have the power to choose their core subjects in which he/she is planning for further study in near future. In general, the faculty-student ratio is like 1:40. Most of the faculty is highly qualified and the teaching method is a bit average and needs to be improved After every 2 months exams were scheduled for the semester and the difficulty level for passing is 5 on a scale of 10.
Internships Opportunities
Every Student is considered as a trainee in their respective companies and the package varies from company to company 5000 - 30000 or even more. Companies that are related to the non-circuital branches are very less and professors of that branches help the students to get a good internship in the industries like L&T, Godrej, Eicher Etc
Placement Experience
In the last year of college, every student is eligible for the placements except those students which are somehow failing in their respective subjects. The companies which visited the campus are JP Morgan, Mckinsey, Microsoft, GS, Airbus, Honda, Maruti, ZS, etc, and more than 50% of the students are placed. Microsoft gave the highest package as per my knowledge but don't remember the exact amount
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is decent and for a scholarship, the college provides scholarship to the topper of the class as well as the girl child and there is also financial assistance to the poor but I don't have much details Campus placement sessions are throughout the semester
Campus Life
PECFest is the annual cultural and technical fest and it was conducted in the month of November or sometimes in October. Almost every book which was recommended by the faculty is available in the library. There are many sports and extracurricular activities on campus as there are many technical societies (eg. SME, SAE, ASME, AIEEE, etc.) and cultural clubs (eg. Dramatics Club, Art & Photography Club, Editorial Boards, etc.) NGO like Images Chandigarh, Punarkriti etc
Hostel Facilities
A personal table chair bed and cupboard is provided for every single student but for 1st-year student shared rooms are provided. Meal quality is average The registration form has to be submitted to the manager of the hostel
