Remarks
The admission process is through an online application and they select candidates for interviews based on marks, and they select students based on their interview performances. I did not avail of any quota. I had applied in dg Vaishnav college and I also got a seat over there but I opted to choose Loyola over dg because of the way they treat their students and their fellow beings.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I want to pursue my career in economics as an economic analyst. There are more than enough teachers for students. The teachers are all MPhil or Ph.D. level teachers. Term exams are kept on the dates announced which are prior to every other college exam.
Internships Opportunities
There are countless companies that offer internships with stipends for students. I've done two internships through Loyola and several privately. The ones which Loyola has provided me have provided me stipends.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible from their 5th semester for internships and 6th semester for placements. The most reputed companies come to Loyola eg: Google, cognizant, Infosys. The percentage of students getting placed is at a very high level.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for economics are very economical. My first term fee was only 20000. They also provide financial assistance to students who aren't able to pay the fees. I still haven't got a job, I'm still pursuing my studies.
Campus Life
They conduct a cultural competition every year named ovations which is one of India's biggest cultural competitions. The library is so huge and I always get the books I need. We have a smartboard which makes it easier for the teacher to teach and the student to learn.
