Entrance Preview

I give WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION and secured 2265 Rank. My dream was to be a Engineer specially Computer Engineer. According to my rank B. P. PODDAR INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY is best College for me. So i choose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

My stream is COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING. So no doubt its specially based on Computer. We specially study about Software and Little Bit Hardware also.

Internships Opportunities

Various companies come to our college like TCS, WIPRO, CTS, YODLEE etc. This year our senior of 4th Year got job of 6Lacks per Annum from YODLEE. This is the highest package ever got from our college.

Placement opportunities are too much high in our college. There many companies came to our college for offering job. apporox 80% per year got placed. even this year also.

Our college has too many Events held every year like TECH FEST, CULTURAL FEST, LANGUAGE FEST etc. Even their many kind of puja also held like SARASWATI PUJO, BISWAKARMA PUJO etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee Structure of our college is 37,000 per semester. means apprx 80,000/- per annum. and hostel charge is different. not include with this. it is different.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college has 3-4 scholarships. like WBFS, HDFC Scholarship. Even they offered special cash prize for all studious students.

Campus Life

Our college campus is not too much large that we have not any football ground even. but we try too enjoy more in little space too much. even our some annual sports also held.

Hostel Facilities

Frankly says hostel condition is too much good. but mess food are too much sucks. you can't eat mess food regularly. and your health will be decreased for this mess food.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Our Seniors students are too much caring and they give us all kind of guide too face any kind of situation easily without any problem. they help us about study, sports etc

Exam Structure

Every semester we have total 2 internal exams. this exams are not too much hard, but lab exams give too much reliefs. not so strict even.

Faculty

Faculties are no doubt our guardians just after our parents. you can consult your all kind of problem with them free frankly. even they will you special coaching if you have any problem to understand something.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I appeared for an entrance exam and I got a seat for CSE (data science) course at Techno International New Town. But I filled upgradation form and went for round 2. And I got a seat for Information Technology course at B. P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology. So I took admission in this college rather than taking risks of going to round 3. At our college students can get admission by giving entrance exams like JEE Mains and WBJEE. Cutoffs for different courses vary every year. I got in techno international new town college in first round of counciling there i choose to upgrade because I thought I can get better in 2nd round so in 2nd round I get this bppimt college so I choose it because it was in upper of my college preference that I made from the online research and asking my friend and family members who studied in there .
