KLU- A path for future

As I was unable to crack good score in West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam and JEE Main I have applied to purse B.tech program in several private university and got selected first in the Kalasalingam University. So I chose this university first. The admission process of KLU is very simple because there is no entrance exam and the admission is totally based on marks obtained in class 12th exam. For admission first I have registered through annauniv.edu and the filled up the TNEA application form. After that I have participated in TNEA counselling process where seats are alloted through merit list and I got a seat on the basis of my 12th exam marks.

I want to be a successful mechanical engineer and also want to enhance my professional and technical skills so I chose this course. The course curriculum of my university is decided in such a way that it helped me to gain an effective communication skills and helped me to recognize the social impacts of problem solving, decision making and creative skills by understanding contemporary issues. Besides I am also able to apply fundamental technical knowledge and skills in different areas such as Production, Design, Thermal, Industrial and allied fields of Mechanical Engineering. I got the opportunity to learn about thermodynamics in second semester. The subject Soft skill is included in all semester in the course curriculum.

My university ensures almost 90% placement from my course. My friends got placement in several top companies like Wipro, Cognizant, TCS,TVS, Sundaram Fasteners, Texmo etc. The highest salary package offered was 6 LPA and lowest salary package was 1.5 LPA.

I paid for my course near about 1 lakh 20 thousands annually. My university provides several types of scholarships which is based on the marks obtained in particular exams/subjects (decided by the particular department) and the scholarship schemes are categorised into fifteen category. I got the category fifteen scholarship as I was the student of B.tech in Mechanical Engineering and was eligible for getting 50% scholarship in tuition fees.

The pleasant weather condition in the Kalasalingam University attracted me most. Our campus is very clean and hygiene is maintained in the campus as well as in the hostel rooms. Well furnished class , Well and modern instrument equipped laboratories, Library along with Digital library available in my university. I have participated in several events like intra and inter college events , seminars, conferences and workshop which are organised by my department. Moreover many clubs like red ribbon club, NSS, youth red cross, Tamilmandram organise different events .
