Remarks
In 2018, I have scored 89% in 12th and I had 11 colleges for which I was qualified so I visited each and every college on the list, talk to the seniors, search the location of colleges for easy transportation. Finally the college which won in all the categories was Satyawati College. My college is overall good as it is located in Ashok Vihar, easy excess to public transportation but the quality of crowd is a bit homogeneous than heterogeneous. I got admission in July of 2018, it was the third cut off list.
Course Curriculum Overview
First I took admission in Economics Honours and I studied there for 3 weeks and I realised that it isn't for me, I was more interested in accounting and business, I did like Economics too but studying in depth of Economics that was not what I wanted so I switched my stream from Economics honours to B.Com honours. The faculty is good, they are helpful and highly qualified as the teacher too have to give an entrance to be a part of DU Faculty so they are the best of the teaching society who are teaching in DU. Faculty to students ratio is 1:40. The term exams are in a gap of 6 months and it's easy to pass as it's an average exam so if anyone focus for 15-20 days they would be able to ace the exam provided they are concentrated.
Placement Experience
There were college placements till last year but due the corona virus pandemic, there are no placements this year so far. Some of my friends in other colleges are getting placement the highest I heard was 8 Lakh annual package by Bain and company and lowest was 2.4 Lakh by Paytm.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is Rs 19000 which I have to pay in 3 installments in 3 years of time. 1st year was 7000, 2nd year was 7000 and 3 rd year was 5000 due to corona pandemic. There was no scholarship because its a government college and the fees are already bare minimum. There are not much college placements this year due to corona pandemic as people are getting laid off from their existing jobs so there are no new hirings this year.
Campus Life
My college is located in Ashok Vihar which is one of the best places to live in in New Delhi, the North Campus is just a 5 minute drive away from my college and the Hudson lane is just at walking distance. There are not much annual fest by the college cexcept for the one's organised by clubs and societies, like the commercio by commerce society and Enactus society fests which happens every year the date is not as such fixed mostly these fest took place near festivals like Holi and Deepawali. Most of the the books, generals and even daily newspaper is available in the library and all of the material is free even if you want to issue it from the library, our id cards have a magnetic strip which we swipe when we are taking a book from the library. There are NCC, and a sports club with cricket, football and tennis team and debate, dramatics, cultural society which you can join for extra circular activity.
