Remarks
I chose Poornima University because it is among one of the best B Tech Colleges in Jaipur offering general and specialized in Technology and Science. Another reason was that Poornima University has an M.Tech opportunity for its B.Tech students with a scholarship program. This is what attracted me to this university. There is a basic eligibility criteria for admission which I satisfied so I applied online through their website and fortunately got in. The application fee was about 1200 rupees I think.
Course Curriculum Overview
We usually work on project in small groups and are overseen by our professors very carefully. My degree's curriculum pedagogy blends electronics engineering with computer science for a better understanding of the software and hardware that govern the computer world. This is really helpful as the IT-driven world is undergoing rapid enhancement and to work in the industry we need to be technologically sound for continuous research, innovation, and change. One of my favorite parts is that in Poornima University's bachelor's program for computer engineering we get to specialize in Cloud technology, Information Security, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and Data Science and so on from a very early time.
Placement Experience
From what I see, the Poornima Training & Placement Office really tries to enhance employability and provide better employment opportunities for us. It is an inference I got to after observing my seniors get placed in these two years. In fact our department sees the highest placements in any given year. The average package is about 6 LPA from what I have heard and the highest last year was 12 LPA. I think I saw that the prominent recruiters last time were Infosys Labs, Byju's, Airtel, Federal Bank, IBM India and such.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My total tuition fees is around 5 lakhs I think but there are some really good merit scholarship schemes discounting 30% to 90% of our fees based on the marks of our qualifying exams. I got a fee reduction of 70% because of my class 12 marks which is really helpful for my parents.
Campus Life
I really enjoy campus life at Poornima University because of unique nd inclusive it is. We celebrate all the major festivals on campus. There are big playing fields and over two dozen clubs and societies of which we can be a part. These include coding clubs, robotics clubs, societies for architecture and budding entrepreneurs. There are also different initiatives that I am a part of including tutor systems and WISE which stands for Women in Science and Engineering that formally aims to strengthen the technological scenario, in which, women play an integral role.
