Biotechnology is available only in few colleges in kerala. When I checked the lab facilities were good and the staff was highly experienced with the equipments. there are mainly two labs, one is for basic research and the other is for advanced research.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculty standard is medium but they provide you with good study material other than the prescribed textbooks. The materials mainly include printed notes and pdfs. The faculty are mostly experienced members with more than 10 years of teaching experience in their specific fields.
Placement Experience
The campus placement is done from the seventh semester of your studies. There are some well established companies that come to offer you job. some of the companies are TCS, IFOSYS, SUTHERLAND,ETC. There are several other companies but each of them have their own exams and interview process.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is 5 lakh for a general category student. financial assistance is available to students who are economically backward, the concession is about 30-40% of the total fee. This amount will be refunded to eligible students.The criteria for availing fee concession is to have anual income of less than 4 lakh per annum.
Campus Life
The campus is situated near the nooranad bird sanctuary, which is home to a large number of migratory birds. The college is situated close to a punja were rice is cultivated. the college area covers 1 acre of land. Hostel facility is available to both girls and boys. they are situated 300 meters from the college. the campus life is good and a lot of fresh air is available due to the presence of a large number of trees in the campus.
