Remarks
I applied to the University of Delhi and I got Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College in 2nd counselling it had a brand new infrastructure with a fully functional air conditioner and huge labs plus ut was one of the top colleges for physics in Delhi university I applied in SC quota the cut off goes between 80-90 for SC for general its 90+ but there are a lot of rounds of counselling there was 11 in my time if you are from CBSE that's not a problem but if you are from state board they will deduct some percentage to make you even with CBSE (4-5% deduction).
Course Curriculum Overview
Teachers here are very experienced and highly qualified the guy who taught us inorganic was a graduate from Boston and teachers are from various regions like Assam, Bengal, Kerala, Rajasthan faculty is great no doubt and good in numbers as well our chemistry department had 12 professors for 6 classes (all three years of both chemistry program and chemistry honours) same goes with a technical assistant there were also around 10-12 in our department talking about the exams it's not that hard a one month study is more than enough to get you passed with average marks (if you are good at writing you can score 6.5+ cgpa in one month) exams questions are relative with previous year question so you can get the idea how hard could it be.
Internships Opportunities
No internship opportunity you have to look for them on your own on Internshala or google or through contact's but if you are interested in social work that you can do plenty through NSS they have adopted a slum they go every day with volunteers to teach them and they distribute books and clothes.
Placement Experience
You can get a placement if you are from B.Com or B.S as the job profile is more sales based if you are fine with it then you can join but for the science stream, you need to do a Master's and talking about the internship you have to look for it on your own if you are from honours you can apply for masters in merit quote but you will need pretty good marks (by good I mean more than 9 GPA if you want to have any chance to get admission through merit).
Fees and Financial Aid
When I got enrolled I paid only 10,000 as fees for the first year and it got hiked next year it was 15000 and at last, it was 18000 so they hike 3k-4k every year but that's due to government policy if you are from BPL or J&K you can get a scholarship which may refund you 80% of the fees you paid job is more sales based if you are planning to do B.Com or BMS and there will be a lot of job opportunities for you but the same don't go for someone with science stream or arts stream you have to do masters for a good job.
Campus Life
Life on campus is good you won't feel bored there will be something going on every month from the 1st day of our college to the last you will not get bored annual fest is not so good but it gets compensated with Kavi Sammelan it goes on for 3 days then there are departmental fests there are 18 departments and 15 departments fest the best one is of B.Com (because they have a good amount of strength and fund) then there are 16 societies they do there own fest Libra is huge. If you are book worm you will get whatever you want from jataka to theory of relativity its spread in 3 floors with a huge amount of sitting space 6 types of newspapers fully air-conditioned sports is not so good if you make good friends then you don't have to worry about it they play soccer cricket badminton all day.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is semi-government so it's pretty expensive I would advise you to stay outside instead that would save you 30-40K food is also not good in the hostel but the infrastructure is good each room is fitted with window AC 2 lamps and a balcony roof is inaccessible because it's filled with solar panels there are a lot of PG and flats available in the nearby locality within range of 6-10K depending on what you looking for mine was 200meters away they took 9K monthly food was good. The room was large and with an AC. They had investors laundry basically everything for a hostel you need to register at the time of admission as it is based on marks.
