Remarks
DDUC is an esteemed college under the University of Delhi. The admission is purely based on the merit of class 12. The last cutoff for the general category is nearly 95% in the chemistry course. The admission process was quite smooth. I had to go to Delhi for counselling which was conducted very smoothly and nicely. Overall it was a great experience.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is according to the University of Delhi. It is one of the best science College in DU. The faculty members are excellent and have a very good hold and knowledge of their subject. The faculty student ratio is 1:30. All the faculty members have done PhD and are highly experienced. The term exams were semester based and regular studies were needed as the level of the exam was quite tough.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies come to provide Internship as there are 2 Internship conclaves in a year. Many of them are NGOs. All the roles are available for different types of students like a company like Dyson offers marketing internship with 12000 monthly stipends. There are also many unpaid internships available and many work from home Internships.
Placement Experience
Many people after completing the course go for Government job preparation. The college does have a placement cell. Companies like KPMG, Delloite, TCS, etc come for campus placement. Nearly 50% of students sit for placement. The average package is 5 lac per annum. The highest package offered was 13 lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are nearly 19000 which increases by 700-800 in a year. Many scholarship and financial assistance are provided by DU for the students in need. I got a Dyson Internship with a 12000 per month stipend.
Campus Life
The infrastructure is one of the best in this college. All the classes are fully centralised air-conditioned. The library is very large with almost every book in there be it of the course or any other. Nearly 18-19 societies are there in the college which have theatre, dance, singing, poetry writing, business development, personality development, etc.
Hostel Facilities
Rooms are fully furnished with AC. The meal provided was also quite good considering all the things. But the hostel is quite expensive as fees are 140000 for 1 year. But it's worth it. The meals had all the varieties. Breakfast lunch snacks and dinner were served.
