Remarks

I have applied for one college in my home city which is maharaja college and another college is from Delhi university which is Deen Dayal Upadhyay college and I didn't attend maharaja because I wanted to study in Delhi. To get admission in my course minimum percentage requirement is 93 percent in three science subjects and this percentage is in nearly the fifth cutoff not in the first. I didn't find any age-related issues over there. The procedure is not so long but yeah when I check the cutoff and cleared it so I have to reach within 3 days in the college to get admission otherwise my form will be rejected and they will not take me again even after if I clear the next cutoff so yeah it was quite fast. When I reached the college I asked the guard for admission and he told me everything and I reached there and they ask me for details such as the 12th mark sheet which is the most important and some questions and I have to pay fees immediately after that otherwise my form will be cancelled.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I actually choose this course because I want to clear the UPSC exam so I thought I could take chemistry as an optional and also because I got high marks in chemistry in the 12th class and my also my friends took the same course, these are the reasons for taking this course. I think faculty is more than enough for the course because students in my course are very less even in 2nd and 3rd year. There were nearly 130 students in total in my course including 2nd and 3rd year and there were a lot of professors so I think the faculty is more than enough and yes the professors were highly qualified and intelligent and they taught at a good pace and yeah we all know that they can't be as good as teachers of school but they tried their best. Some professors support students but some were very strict and didn't even listen. There are total 6 semesters and exams are conducted at the end of each semester and class tests and lab practicals and small exams are conducted and their marks are included in end sems.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

There were not so many internships provided by the college. My professors told me that they will conduct a 1-month research internship at the end of the semester and those who are interested can join and stipend will be according to the work and other than this I didn't hear of any internships.

Placement Experience

4

According to my knowledge, students become eligible for placement after 1st year and my seniors told me that a lot of companies have visited and they had given interviews. I don't know much about packages because I didn't ask about them. I want to clear upsc to get a government job.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for one year for my course was 19,345 and this was the fees for nearly all the colleges of Delhi University and they told that out of this 7 thousand is for studying and rest is for co-curriculum but there were very few co-curriculum activities in my college and grounds were very small and not so much space to play a big sport. I didn't get any financial help or scholarship or stipend from college. They published about scholarships and I applied but didn't get it, the reason, I don't know. I think the rate of the college is high and it should be decreased.

Campus Life

4

I didn't see any annual fest because it was canceled and is usually conducted in the month of Feb-March as told by seniors and seniors also told that they usually call a singer or a comedian for performance. Other than this every course conducts its own fest at the end of each semester and my fest name was rasayan utsav. My college has a very big library and it has everything which I need or anyone needs like journals, books, newspapers and a lot. Our classrooms are very big with every possible facility and they were cleaned every day. As I already mentioned that my college ground was not so big in order to conduct any big tournament so player sport like cricket or football was very difficult. There were lots of societies run by students which can be joined by students in order to increase their personalities and u just have to give an interview for this and if u pass u will be in the society.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
