Remarks
SGTB Khalsa has a reservation of 50 percent only for the Sikh Minority. The minimum cutoff in 2017 was 95% (best of 4 subjects) and I got admission in the 4th list. The whole process was smooth and I didn't face any difficulties.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose B.Com (Hons.) because it has a broader scope and opens up a wide range of career options like CA, CS, and MBA, etc. The college offers a good faculty-to-student ratio without compromising on the quality of education as well as class participation. Teachers try and make the classroom more interactive and focus on learning through group projects and assignments. All in all, there are six semesters and so, end-term exams take place at the end of each semester and internals take place throughout all semesters. The exams are an easy-moderate level.
Internships Opportunities
The college offers an internship fair in which numerous companies participate offering internships in domains like sales and marketing, Finance, Content Writing, etc. Some companies offer a stipend as well.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible from the 2nd year itself. The average package ranges from 3-3.5 lakh per annum. I plan on going for my master's after some time. Companies ranging from Big4 to Bain to Tresvista, all visit the campus and offer competitive packages.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees were approximately 25000 per annum and the campus placements are very good. The minimum package that any company offered was INR 3 Lakh per annum which is pretty decent. There were numerous companies that participated in Campus placements including Bain, Big4, etc.
Campus Life
The classrooms are well equipped and fully air-conditioned. Library and other facilities are at par with other great Colleges. Drama society- Ankur is the most popular society in College, other societies being- Swarang for Music, Strokes for Arts, etc. The sports ground is one of the largest in University of Delhi
