SAKEC EXPERIENCE

I had applied to many colleges like Vidyalankar Institute of Technology, RAIT, Datta Meghe, Shah and Anchor, etc. I got Shah & Anchor through CAP round. I chose this college because firstly it had great placement opportunities than other colleges. It has a dedicated Training and Placement Cell for students' placement preparation. I have got admission through SC Quota. All admissions are done Centralized Admission Process(CAP). Admissions to the Minority Quota seats are offered to the candidate from the state of Maharashtra belonging to the Jain Religious Gujarati Speaking Minority Community are required to produce the certificate regarding Domicile of Maharashtra from the appropriate authority.

I chose the Information Technology course since I aspire to become a Software Engineer in the upcoming years. The course curriculum is on Mumbai University curriculum for IT. There are 2 faculties for each subject and the faculty-student ratio is 1:80. Each student is provided with a mentor who will guide him/her throughout the degree and even after the degree also. SAKEC has 100+ PG faculties, 31+ faculties pursuing PhDs, and 12 Ph.D. faculty members. The exams are of moderate level any student can pass easily with some hard work.

Various Companies visit SAKEC such as Cognizant, Accenture, BYJU's, BookMyShow, Capgemini, Media.net, Oracle, Jio, TCS, and many more. The highest package offered in the 2020-2021 batch is 12LPA and the average package offered is around 4 -4.5 LPA. In 20-21, 81 % of students were placed, in 2019-2020 and 2018-2019, there is a 100% placement record.

It has around 1,20,000 Rs as the Tuition Fees, development fees around 12,000 Rs, Gymkhana fees is Rs.400, and exam fees around 2100Rs. There are various opportunities for scholarship in Shah and Anchor first is the Government of Maharashtra Scholarship for SC, ST, OBC, VJNT, OPEN, MINORITY, RCSMSSS(EBC, SEBC, EWS ) & HANDICAPPED CANDIDATES. Other than these Scholarships there are 52 educational scholarships provided by SAKEC which you can check through their official website.

SAKEC has an annual Fest called Pratishtha. Prathistha contains four fests NUCLEUS, VERVE, OLYMPUS, and MUN. NUCLEUS is the Tech Fest which happens in the month of October where different Robotics events, different gaming events like LASER TAG, RETRO GAMING, LIVE PUBG, ESCAPE PLAN, etc. Olympus is the sports Fest held in January where there are inter and inter-college competitions are held. It consists of sports like Cricket, Football, Basket Ball, Volleyball, Chess, Carrom, Box Cricket, Table tennis, Kabaddi, etc. Verve is the most epic Singing Battle, Dance Battle, and Drama. SAKEC Library has 7000 Book Titles, 27500 Book Volumes, 1500 EBook Titles, 80 Periodicals, and 6 databases. SAKEC also has a Digital library like JGATE, IEEE free for students. Students can view download lots of IEEE papers during research work.
