NSHM Durgapur Review

First of all, I had applied for admission to Durgapur Engineering College but after researching about the college. The college was not up to the mark of my needs so I chose to take admission to NSHM. You have to have a score of more than 75% in your 12 the board to be eligible to apply for admission in the college and if you have a good score i.e more than 90% you can get direct admission in any of your preferred courses easily. I have got admission to the college on the basis of my WBJEE rank. The admission process was very simple if you have a WBJEE rank of between 10000 you can easily get admission in CSE.

I have chosen this course because I am highly interested in coding and Computer Science provides a vast field of knowledge about the entire computer system, programming language, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and several other things which provides an opportunity to explore, contribute and accomplish yourself in the field of computer science. Student to faculty ratio in our college is nicely maintained and each and every teacher are very helpful and guide the students in each and every field of their curriculum. As an experienced senior I can honestly say that our faculties are well qualified. They have a vast ocean of knowledge to provide and are well experienced to teach the students professionally.

Students basically apply for off-campus internships and select their preferable companies to hire them as an intern. The average stipend provided by the companies varies between 10000 to 20000 and students get a lot of experience and chance to build up a perfect resume for the final placements.

Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. Most of the tech giants in India like TCS, COGNIZANT, WIPRO, and many other similar tech companies visit our college and recruit students. The highest salary provided till now is 15 lakhs per annum and the average salary provided is 3-4 lakhs per annum which varies from company to company. Nearly 80% of the students get hired during the time of campus placements.

The college fees are quite decent and most of the students can afford it easily and the fees vary basically depending on the number of students taking admission on that particular course. The college also provides bonafide certificates and personal loans to needy students and based on your performance in studies and extracurricular activities the college also provides a Scholarship to bear the expenses of your studies further.

Our college campus is very beautiful filled with beautiful gardens, a cafeteria, food courts, concert halls, and Chillout places. Our college has a vast library filled with lakhs of books and journals to meet the needs of all the students and faculty members in our college which is very much appreciable.
