Looking Back At The Last 4 Years!

Narula Institute Of Technology was the first and only college that I applied for. You need to score well in the JEE Mains or in WBJEE to get into the departments like Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). A little lesser marks can get you into Information Technology Engineering (IT) department.

I have always liked computers and the way they work. So in class 11 and 12, I chose computer science and decided to make a career out of it. That is why I chose the Information Technology stream at our college. There are plenty of highly qualified faculties in our department, who are very helpful towards the students. They are always happy to help us in any situation, whether they are about academics or a personal problem. The term exams were right on time and you need to study a little hard to do well in those exams.

I have not done any internships till now, but there are opportunities for internships at our college. I have done a major project on Data Science and Machine Learning, a classification problem, which had great results.

After the 6th sem, i.e, from the beginning of the 7th sem, the students are eligible for campusing (though there are some criteria like the 10th and 12th results, education gap, etc.) Major companies visited are - Accenture, Hexaware, Persistent Systems, TCS, Tech Mahindra, etc. Highest package - 7LPA, Average package - 4 LPA A fair number of students get placed. I plan about doing my job after getting the degree.

The fee structure is more or less fine, based on the infrastructure and privileges provided by the college. Though I believe that during this Covid situation, the fees should be decreased. I got placed at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) with a package of 3.36 LPA (Through the exam NQT - National Qualifier Test)

The annual tech fest of our college is called Kritanj, which is awesome! A wide range of latest technologies is displayed every year through different projects, which are highly capable of competing with other top colleges of the country. Our cultural fest Navodaya is also quite great. Here we get the chance of showcasing our skills such as singing, dancing and all. There are plenty of books available in the library. We have a playground (field) inside our college campus where we can have recreation like cricket, football, etc.
