I didn't apply to any other colleges. My senior in high school studied at the Hindusthan Institute of technology. He recommended me the college. He told me it is a very good college with lots of opportunities. Hence I applied to this college only. The government quota was for the students in Tamilnadu. I was from Kerala state, so I couldn't get that. Hence I applied for the Management seat. There was a counselling day. I came to the college with my parents and met the Principal. He explained about the course and other facilities in the college. He asked me about my marks and other qualifications. Likewise, I got the seat, and when the class started I came to college.

Mechanical Engineering is a stream where we have lots of opportunities in the Industry. We can have work in lots of fields. That's why I took this course. For every 25 students, there was one faculty. About teaching, I must say, each and every faculty I had was best. They explained every portion thoroughly. They didn't just teach and go. They made sure everyone in the class understood the topic very well. Many Faculties were Phd Holders and some of them had Pre Industrial experience which helped them to teach about that topic very well. We had three Internal examinations every 6 months before the Semester examination. We only had one or two modules to study in each Internal examination, so getting a pass was not a difficult task.

There are many Internship opportunities in the college. Students can go and work under the companies as they wish. Hod will grant the permission. They also get a stipend for working as Intern trainee. Many companies offer chances for Internship.

Students Get placement training classes from the 6th Semester downwards. Companies visit the college from 6th-semester onwards. Some companies will have criteria like no history of arrears, some will have 1 arrear or below, and some companies had no criteria, every student can attend the placement. Every student gets a chance to attend the placements. Many big companies visit our college. And some companies signed a contract with college to give special Industrial training and they set up training sessions inside the college.

The fee structure is quite decent. My fee was 50,000 per year as I was in the management quota. Students who were poor to give much higher fees was given reductions in fees. Students who have more than 80% in Physics, Maths and Chemistry in higher secondary will also get a high reduction.

Campus Life was pretty good. We had Annual Day Celebrations every year. There was sports meet and other games like football, cricket etc every year. Students from other colleges come to our college for tournaments. Also, there are annual fests. Tech fests are conducted every month by faculties. The library has every book related to our courses. We visit libraries every time for referring books. There was complete freedom inside the campus. There were no strict rules.
