Remarks
Management is just okay. The principal is difficult to reach and the demands of the students aren't met before we go to the administration several times.
Entrance Preview
I qualified Bihar Combined Entrance exam (BCECE-2014) in my current year with general rank 347 and was allotted this college. I chose MBBS because it is the most reputed course and profession in the country.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is really good. There are 19 subjects and all of them cover different topics of medical science in full-fledged fashion. There is not so much of a research opportunity in this college but nevertheless research on small basis can be carried out.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, at the end of the 4.5 year college course, one year internship is provided. The stipend is 12,000 rs per month as per the govt of Bihar. Internship is a learning experience as there are many many patients in the hospital.
Placement Experience
Since it is an MBBS course, there is no placement as such.
College Events
Only one major event takes place annually in my college i.e. The Saraswati Puja celebration and cultural event in Jan/Feb each year. It is a moderately big event, lot many doctors, alumni and students attend it. There is a 4 hour long cultural event which is good. Apart from this, smaller events like Doctors Day, World Health day, Yoga Day, etc are celebrated each year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is very feasible. It costs approx 15,000 per year which includes tuition fees, hostel rent, gym costs and security money.
Fees and Financial Aid
No loans availed yet as it is not needed.
Campus Life
There is a 3:2 ratio between boys and girls. There is not much of a campus life but sports like cricket, football, badminton, etc are played in the college ground as well as in the hostel.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are okay. 3-4 students share rooms in the first year and in the final year, single rooms are allotted. Interns have their separate hostel with single rooms. Washrooms are clean but common to all. Mess food is good by city standards.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are very helpful. They provide books, previous year papers, notes and even teach and discuss topics. I haven't communicated with the alumni.
Exam Structure
Exams occur frequently but they are a easy go. The whole college-hospital-college travel is hectic as the hospital is about a km and a half away from the college, but it is manageable.
Faculty
Faculty is okay. Teachers have good knowledge of the subjects but aren't absolutely dedicated to teaching. You must study on your own and ask as many questions as possible.
