Remarks

The procedure for admission to the college was easy. I did not have to rush to college again and again. I applied only to Delhi University because this was the only university I want to be in because of its reputation. It is amongst one of the best colleges in Delhi. It provides great placement facilities and has an overall great faculty rating. The reviews are great too, and also considering the opinions of some of my knows who are or once used to be part of Delhi University. My admission to this college was on the ECA quota in NCC. I scored a good ranking in the NCC trial and thus was able to take admission to this college. The minimum age required for it was 18 years old and the minimum marks depended on the university's list. Approx 90% is the minimum marks we require to be part of Delhi University.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

B.Com(Hons) is one of the known and interesting education courses. It is related to business and commerce in the world. I found this course interesting for myself. I chose commerce in my secondary studies that are 11th and 12th. That built my interest in the commerce field and thus I chose B.Com(Hons) for my further studies. Also, the faculty provided to me by my college is amazing. Teachers are very friendly to us. They help us in every situation. We can ask them doubts at any time and they make sure that they solve them. There are approx 50-60 students per teacher per subject in every class. The teaching method is not as best like teachers are not that strict so it is a normal teaching-learning experience in this college. Exams are conducted internally and externally. Teachers take assignments and internal exams for internal grades and centrally external exams are conducted.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

College starts providing internships after 1st semester itself. Majorly of them are unpaid in the starting but students start getting paid internship in 2nd year. Very few opportunities are there for internships. Companies like Psychology are there to provide internships to students. College tries to provide internships in every field.

Placement Experience

2

Placements of the college are average. Placements depend on your skills and learning. Students are eligible for placements in 3rd year. Due to lockdown, we were unable to give an interview to maximum companies. My plans after UG is for MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very convenient. It is very easy to make a payment. The university asks for fees once in the year for 2 semesters. Amount of fees is very low. It is affordable for everyone. We can borrow books from the library which helps in the cost-cutting of books. We were given many opportunities for internship on the campus.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus couldn't be greater. There is a sports ground, different courts, an auditorium, and many such things. Infrastructure is quite different from others. Various fests are conducted annually. Departmental fests are conducted separately and then union fest is conducted at the end. They are majorly conducted during February and March. The college has a great library in which both Hindi and English sets are available for all the courses. There are not many amenities provided in the college. Only the basic ones are found such as fans, desks and board. The college has various sports facilities available like basketball, badminton, kabaddi, kho-kho, cricket, etc. They have different ground for all these things. Equipment for these sports are provided in the college itself. Many societies are run by students and the major one is enacted.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
