IIT, Dhanbad Review

IIT Dhanbad is one of the best institutes in India. Established in 1926, it was formerly known as the Indian school of mines. It is spread across 393 acres of land. It has 11 hostels including 4 separate hostels for girls and seven hostels for boys. More than 125 companies came in the year 2021 for placements.

I was always interested in physics and mechanics that's why I choose to opt for Mechanical Engineering. The professors are highly qualified and very supportive as well. Every month quizzes are taken on eAch subject to check our performances. After every 6 months, the end seems to be taken.

Companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, Tata Motors, Goldman Sach, Reliance, ONGC, Paytm, Tata Steels, Walmart, etc comes every year for placement. More than 80 percent of students get a decent package every year.

From the 2nd semester, students are eligible for internships. You require to maintain at least 8 GPAs every semester. More than 80% of students get placement in good companies every year. The highest package of 2021 was 90 lakh per annum of a CSE student.

The fees are quite reasonable. A lot of scholarships are provided by the college. And a lot of competition takes place every year with a cash prize as a reward. Internship opportunities are very good and more than 60% of students get internships every year.

The campus consists of 393 acres of land. It has 11 hostels, 4 separate hostels for girls, and 7 hostels for boys. Campus life is amazing. There are clubs for every activity whether it is related to sports, dancing, singing, dramatics, poem writing, editing, coding, etc.

You can register for the hostel at the time of admission. The hostels are very good and the fees are affordable. The mess food is also very nice and healthy. Hygiene is maintained everywhere. And the college buildings are quite huge.
