Remarks

I have applied for all IIT colleges but bet IIT Dhanbad according to my performance in jee advance. I belong to the OBC category. Admission criteria for admitting into IITs is to qualify for jee advanced there is no age limit but we have only two chances one during 12th and the other after 12th. Admission in any IITs is through JOSSA counseling. Counseling took around 1 month.

Course Curriculum Overview

Not taken because of lockdown we could not able to reach campus. Faculty are highly qualified and most experienced. The exam is moderate level for me. And it easy to pass and score good marks in the exam.

Internships Opportunities

I have not applied for an internship because I am a first-year student so the internship started from the second year onwards. many Indian companies hire students for internships and pay a well-deserved package to them. the internship is in many fields like photography etc.

Placement Experience

From the 4th semester and onwards internship process is started. Some companies like Google, Microsoft, Paypal, Facebook, Emphasis, etc are visiting our campus and giving students a very attractive package. I have to get a good job after graduating.

Fees and Financial Aid

The semester fee is a little bit different in both semesters. It also depends on the category of students belonging. Overall 2lakh 30 thousand for a general student availing no fee waiver and according to % of fee waiver fee applicable.

Campus Life

As we have been told not to go to the college campus due to the pandemic so no idea about any fest. Our college one of the largest libraries in our country books is frequently available. Classrooms have well infrastructures and facilities.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are as good as you think. We cannot go to our college due to the pandemic, so there is no more idea about meal quality and menus. once your seat is confirmed by JOSSA the registration and admission process started.

Hostel Fee: INR 15000 per year

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

Placement Experience:

The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

Placement Experience:

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher. In my college teacher took all the exams at timely and it is not very difficult to pass
