College management is good in all aspects but i have problem with the no of exams and the food provided by the mess and the amount they charge. they provides us a/c classrooms and labs, labs with high quality equipment i think design and quality of the infrastructure is not good they provides us with good cooperative faculties except for few of them they provides us with good food court and car parking and many other things.

I wrote SRMEEE 2013 entrance examination and i scored a rank of 24008 and i opt this college for their reputation and previous years placement statistics.

Courses they offered is quiet good. they offered good subjects like sensors and actuators,fundamentals of thermodynamics,fluid power system, applications of plc, 5 semesters of maths,engineering mechanics, power electronics,control engineering,microprocessors and microcontrollers etc. and electives like automotive electronics, drive for automation, robotics, advanced control engineering etc.

Our college doesn't provide any internship but there are many teams made by students offer internships they doesn't provide any stipends and it is a good platform to gain knowledge.

Placements in srm is pretty good. there are lots of company coming for example cognizant came and offered 3.35 l.p.a, wipro came and offered 3.2l.p.a, tcs came and offered 3.36 l.p.a, infosys offered 3.16 l.p.a, l&t offered 6 l.p.a, adroitec offered 6 lpa, honda r&d offered 8.2 lpa, hyundai offered 6 lpa and lot more.

There are lots of festivals cultural events, technical events take place here aarrush is our main technical event where it is a platform for student present their ideas or working or non working prototypes and there will be many stalls for foods and fashion, konvolve is our other technical event but it is a small event our main cultural events is milan where there will dj nights, pro shows many games , programs that entertains.and celebrities comes for the inauguration there are many other programs too there are other events like shuru for freshers, jhalak and many more.

Fee structure is either expensive or feasible depending on person o person. for me it is quiet expensive first 3 years i paid 2.15 lpa tution fee-1.85 lpa, cdc fee-15k pa, book fee- 15k pa and the final year fees structure has been changed like tution fee+cdc fee- 2.00lpa.

I am not much aware about the scholarship or loan facility offered by our college as i didn't ever inquired about it but i know that they provides scholarships for toppers.

Campus life in srm is quiet good the gender ratios in srm almost equal or male will be more because mechanical department has 800 students in which 790 students are male gender so it is obivious that male students are more in srm but female student strengths are not bad there is politic parties in srm and if any one tries to make a party they count it as a serious offence there are lots workshop on various subjects which may include robotics, ethical hacking and many more they encourage sports activities like cricket, basketball, football, volleyball etc. in srm there is no fight against racism, gender or any other. these workshops and everything conducted in srm is of high quality but they don't stick to the time.

I stayed at hostel during the first year and then i moved out to nearby flat hostel facilities is quiet good but not worth for the money there is a/c and non a/c room i stayed in a/c room and the room is good with good attached bathroom and the non a/c rooms are not neat and they doesn't have any attached bathroom all the rooms are 3 sharing i paid 1.60pa for the hostel and the mess mess was good for me for first 2 months and then the food became pathetic sometimes i felt not hygienic as some of my friends saw earthworms inside food etc hostels will be provided for all the first years.

I don't know much about the alumni network as i didn't ever met our alumina but senior students were good, cooperative and helpful.

Exams in sem is very hectic the exams will increase our blood pressure in one sem, the exams are conducted every month 2nd month after reopening comes the 1st cyle test and next month 2nd cycle test and next month come model practical and model theory. and the next month university practical and university theory so in one sem there is 6 sets of exams. in one sem we had 6-7 theory subjects and 2-3 labs.

First i got the rank and counselling date before counselling i paid rs.10000/- as advance. on the counselling date i went to srm university kattankalathur and i gave my option as mechatronics then they emailed us the date to enroll for the hostel and for the balance payment. around after 10 days they called for the enrollment. the balance payment is done through dd. and then college starts after 10 days.

There are lots of good faculties in our college many of them are very much interested in taking classes some of the faculties are Ph.D holders and the min qualification of the faculties is m.tech or m.e. faculty named vigneshwaran , santhosh rani, madhumitha , ranjini are very good at explaining their respective courses.
